"Overall, it was a good experience. AAA put down a vapor barrier and installed a Santa Fe dehumidifier with sump pump. The result is that we can now use the stand-up basement/crawlspace to store things under the house without ruining them. This is the part that you need to know. The installation was not without problems. First, they broke an A/C drain pipe, second, they cut a sprinkler controller wire while running a PVC pipe. Here's my take, accidents happen but how does the business respond to these issues? Well, Donna was very quick to send her team out to correct the problems and they even paid for the damage to the sprinkler system. To me, that's top notch customer service. Any business can make a mistake, but how they handle it is the mark of a good company. Every time I lift the roll door and go into the basement now, I'm amazed at how cool and fresh the air is down there. No more mildew and no more smell."

"Better than expected. Phil was the only contractor that responded AND came to my house on the same day that I called all the other contractors. He provided me the potential problem for my heat pump issues on the phone that eventually was confirmed during his initial visit and then during disassembly of the old duct system. He was very helpful in providing me additional savings and existing tax credits for the Attic Breeze vent system installed including for the heat pump providing me with the forms. Swift service done on a short time from initial call to complete installation (less than 1 week and completed installation in 7 hours). "I highly recommend Mr. Danforth's services with The Fireplace Doctor!  He was professional and did a thorough job.  The level of service went above and beyond my expectations, especially since I had purchased the service via the discounted "Big Deal" promotion here on Angie's List. We are new homeowners of an 8 year old house. The previous owners had installed a low-lying deck which blocked outside access to the dryer vent.  Because of an excessively long, elbowed vent pipe that practically runs the length of the house, Mr. Danforth was only able to initially clean a partial section.  He was willing to return--  free of charge -- within the week, to allow us time to remove a few deck boards to expose the outside vent.  Of course, the vent was completely blocked with lint.  Mr. Danforth was able to remove approximately 8 years worth of lint debris.  This fire hazard has been removed and is no longer a threat to my family.  I feel blessed that I made that call to The Fireplace Doctor! Our clothes, despite the use of fabric softener, no longer have a stale smell to them. The drying time has been cut in half!  Because of this, I look forward to my reduced electric bill.
