George worked with me to design a highly useful, yet attractive integral dog ramp to my backyard. His crew was courteous, helpful and worked very well together. The lumber needed for the deck was high quality, as was the decking material. I was impressed with the careful work they did and with the results. I love my new deck and have used it for most of the seasons. I love the views I have from the deck. My dog also enjoys the views and the cleverly constructed ramp. I am so glad I hired George to do the job."

"They installed a patio cover over my deck. Overall, very good. The cover is great and looks extremely nice. Had it not been for a few glitches along the way this would be a 5 star review. Those issues included the time frame of when I signed the contract and that the work was actually done. The contract was signed in May and work was not done until August. I was told it could be done in 3-4 weeks and understand that the rainy early summer did play a bit of a role, but 3 months was a little too long. They did not submit the application for the work permit until July which caused an additional delay. There was also a miscommunication about the install date and they showed up a day early. All that being said, I would use them again. The workmanship seems good, the product is excellent. I did have a leak in it after they installed, and they came out promptly to fix it. I did and still do have one other concern about a stream of water dripping down the corner of my house from the corner of the patio cover (that incidentally hits the lower gutter and is an annoying drip sound) and I called about it and was told its not a problem and that the water will dissipate into the ground. Not sure I like that answer, as gutters and downspouts are intended to move water away from the home because water dripping directly next to the foundation is not recommended and can result in water entry, mold and dampness. So I have to either put a bucket there to catch water or a splash block."

"Our old house on the Northside of Pittsburgh was in need of an exterior facelift and a new front porch to replace the one that had collapsed. I met with Dave LaBovick of Exceptional Exteriors and we agreed upon a price, which my wife and I found quite reasonable. The work on the vinyl siding began about a week later and took only a half a day to wrap up. The job was done to our complete satisfaction, The before and after is like night and day. Another crew arrived a few days later to do the porch and sidewalk. They began work on a Thursday afternoon and were finished 24 hours later. Once again, we are very happy with the result. In both cases, they removed all debris and left-over building materials associated with the job. We are not only completely satisfied with the work that Exceptional Exteriors did for us, we are looking forward to hiring them again for our next home project."

"Mike and his crew were very professional and punctual. They pressure washed all painting surfaces and scraped, caulked, and primed where needed. I kept the same color scheme and they matched it perfectly. I have a large front and back porch (with 18 stairs) and all this needed painted as well as the foundation of my home. My home is 2 1/2 stories and very high and this presented no problems at all for the crew. I got 4 quotes for this job and I was shocked at the huge difference in quotes. Shortly after painting my rear steps it rained. Although I could not detect any defects, Mike insisted on repainting the steps which says a lot about the quality of his work. Papa' s Painting is a very reliable company and I would not hesitate to use them again."
