"The basement waterproofing contractors we found in Southwest Michigan were expensive, and even among this group, Foundation Systems is on the pricey side. Everdry was even more expensive. However, Foundation Systems has done good work and have been available and friendly in response to our questions"

"They installed a heavy duty sump with battery back-up, drainage around perimeter and center of basement and a dry well in back yard. They also patched cracks in floor. When they were done, they cleaned up everything, and the place was immaculate. I thoroughly recommend them!"

"My service tech, Jordan Foy, called promptly in the morning and arrived right on schedule. He was friendly, knowledgeable and did a great job installing my sump pump and the underground line. He made sure I approved of what he was going to do each step of the way. He was also very nice to my golden retriever puppy who wanted to be his assistant. I will be using Ayers Basement Systems again for additional work on my basement next spring."

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"I contacted 3 companies in the Battle Creek area to have my driveway cleaned and resurfaced. AIM provided their quote within 4 business days and was by far the most responsive of the three. I accepted the quote and AIM was able to accomodate my request to have my driveway done in the coming week, while I was away on business. Upon my return, the driveway was completed. I was very impressed with the great work AIM did in edging and cleaning the drive prior to resurfacing. I have a number of cracks in the drive from wear over time, and AIM did a great job of sealing these cracks and then concealing with the resurface. The driveway looks great and I am extremelly pleased with the results."

"I have been using New Horizon Property Management for the past 3 years.  They have been a great part of making my lawn begin to look wonderful.  They were the company that I used after my pool was installed.  They came out and made everything look normal, they added landscaping and design work, they take care of my lawn when I am out of town and finally they have been offering an organic lawn treatment program.  My huge lawn is going to take some time to make it look like a golf course..and maybe it will never look that GREAT..but I can assure you that Stephen and Chad are working with me constantly to make my lawn look better.   <br /> They are totally affordable and stand by their work.  When ever I had a concern they came back and made it all better. I know that I at least 2 years out from a perfect lawn and landscaping but they never give up. <br /> Oh I forgot they also do my leaf removal and I have several acres of clean up.  Trust me.  Trust them and they will make you happy. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Dowling, MI

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
