"Quickly diagnosed the central air conditioning system, and gave an estimate on the cost of recharging the refrigerant in the compressor. The system is a 14 year old Carrier unit. Albert also included some sealant that may plug up the slow leak of refrigerant that occurs every 2 years or so. Albert also, showed me how to adjust the damper to control the flow of air to the second and third floors of the house. The other company that arrived wanted to charge me $5,000 to repair the system or close to $7,000 to replace the AC system with new. I intend to call upon Magna Tech Temp Air, Inc when I'm ready to purchase a new HVAC system. Thanks again for taking the time to listen to my concerns. Well done!!!"

"Although they provide a time frame for service, frequently they are late or have to re-schedule. When ARS installed my furnace, they provided a humidifier as well. However, the humidifier is not included in the maintenance contract, and any work or filter change on the humidifier is extra. The cost is almost as much as the maintenance contract. They used to answer the phone asking how they could provide exceptional service. No longer do they ask that. Makes sense, because they do not provide exceptional service. Also, the technician seems to want to convince you to buy additional equipment, which may or may not be needed."

"Although the AC unit was working, it was leaking water. I had another company come in and tell me that the main drain pan was cracked and that it would cost $2880 to repair or I could buy a new unit costing over $8500 dollars. I called Relax Air for a second opinion. Kamal and his crew came out the next day and confirmed that the drain pan was cracked and leaking. His repair cost? $400. I also had him do two other HVAC related jobs while he was there (replacing AC disconnect box and installing a water float switch]. They had everything done in and hour and a half. Total cost: $675. Kamal is fast, efficient and most of all honest. I would recommend him to anyone."

"Going to take two visits, but that is because they wanted to see if when the unit thawed the fan was still working and save me over $1000. Turns out the fan is shot. So, calling them back, but I know they will be able to fix it. They have done work for me on this unit before. They cannot service all units, as I have a business and they weren't able to fix that one. But, they said that when they got there and looked at it before they spent a lot of time or money on parts, so at least they are honest."

Danny was able to squeeze us into Blue Star's full schedule at a time that worked for us and called before the visit for clarification about the problem, and after the visit about how things went. John called before arrival to let us know about exact timing, and was very thorough in investigating the problem and then explaining the situation. After consultation, he was able to repair our system. John also discussed what to look out for in case there are problems in the future. "I hired them to diagnose water heater issues. The first tech sent missed an electrical issue and I ended up replacing the heater. The cost to do that on a weekend as an emergency service was not bad. When the replaced water heater still had issues, they dispatched another tech at no additional charge, found the root of the problem, and I was able to get that repaired. I called their office with concerns about the necessity of replacing the heater and they actively worked to address the issue to my satisfaction. I have engaged them for maintenance services for the next two years. I would recommend them, and suggest that you review what was done during any diagnostic service to see if you agree it makes sense before proceeding."
