"The phone contact with Superior Door Service was prompt, and courteous. There was some miscommunication about an appointment but it worked out well in the end. Shaun, the owner, inspected the garage door springs and tried opening and closing the garage door several times and determined an adjustment was all that was needed. we agreed to the estimate and work to be done. The adjustment was done quickly for both sides of the door once again testing the door for balance and if the springs had enough tension. All through this process Shaun explained to me what was being done and why. He answered other questions I had regarding the springs and hardware politely and knowledgeably. The garage door definitely works better now than it has in years. The service call was quick, worked fast and more than a reasonable price for the work done. "Originally, I called to get a new attic ladder installed, some plywood placed over the 2 x 4's on the attice floor, and asked for a new opening in my ceiling. Placing the plywood floor was particularly complicated because there are water lines, electrical lines, and air ducts that ran along the attic floor or close to the floor. Also, we have trusses in the attic that make moving around difficult. Ron gave me an estimate which I felt was reasonable. As the work progressed, however, I realized that I had no way to turn on the attic light from the new opening and the lighting where the new attic floor was laid was rather poor in places. So I asked Ron to install additional lighting and a two-way light switch. While he was here, I also asked him to look at a GFI plug that kept tripping and to move a light fixture since the new attic opening would be placed where we had a ceiling light. He also had to build a new door for the attic and frame and paint it since the attic ladder I purchased did not come with a door. Ron moved the light at no charge to us because he felt it was very simple and would not take a lot of time. However, we expanded our request for flooring (to cover more attic area than originally thought) and with the additional electrical work, he brought in one of his electricians to ensure the work was performed properly. All went very well and he was quite accommodating as our request for his services continually expanded beyond the original scope. We worked together on pricing to ensure all was fair."
