After searching for some time and starting to get down, I found Sam on HomeAdvisor and became optimistic because of the two existing excellent reviews. He arrived on-time for the job, with a smile and a friendly greeting. My comfort level, already very high from the phone call, was even higher after meeting him. Sam came very prepared with a huge toolbox, and he set right to work. He efficiently completed a perfect job repairing the connection of a door in my home to its holder. All of my interaction with him was very positive and enjoyable. I cannot say I hope for more things in my home break, but when they inevitably do, I look forward to seeing Sam again. "I hired DF Construction to replace windows, siding, garage doors, gutters and my front door. This is the biggest single project I’d ever considered and I was very apprehensive about it. I kept imagining all the things that could go wrong! Don Frame and his crew were wonderful to work with. From the very first estimate, Don took the time and made plenty of measurements to make sure that he knew exactly what I was hoping to get. He explained the options and suggested some alternatives that saved me quite a bit of money. Don’s crew encountered challenges as they worked — bitter cold being the worst — but they always remained courteous, pleasant and professional. Every time something unexpected came up, Don or one of his crew explained the options and made sure I was happy with their solution. They cleaned up after themselves every day and always arrived on time. DF Construction did a fantastic job! I am very pleased with the final result and I won’t hesitate to contact Don again for future projects."

"Amril was very responsive, I had him come to my house before purchasing the 'Handyman for a Day' deal, to see if the tasks I had in mind could be done within the 8 hours. We determined it could be done by 2 men in 4 hours due to the weight and size of door to be installed and the second story work from a ladder. Purchased the deal and we agreed that he would do the work once I had the materials on hand. I purchased the door, had to be ordered and took 2 weeks to arrive. Meanwhile, I also purchased a strip of siding and J-channel to have on hand for repairs and the caulk. Admir supplied the fasteners needed for the siding repairs.Once the door arrived, we arranged to do the work on my next day off. In the meantime, I had sent him the installation instructions to review prior to doing the job. Admir and his helper arrived on time and started right in on the work. Completed the storm door replacement in about an hour. Then the siding repairs. No more siding flapping in the wind! also replaced some cracked trim pieces. Caulked most of my windows, and we agreed I could finish up on my own after purchasing more caulk. The storm door looks good, however there were a couple of details that could have been completed better. Although I had sent him installation instructions and had a copy on hand, he did not really pay much attention to them. So the door is in, but a couple of parts were not installed, leaving some gaps at the bottom of door frame I had not read instructions either - just skimmed thru them, assuming he was the professional and would do it right. I will be able to do something about the gap, however. Siding repair was done well considering the way it was installed nearly 25 years ago. Before he left. I discussed a new deal his company is offering on Angie's List for some masonry work. I will definitely consider Ado Construction for future work, but I will pay more attention to detail before and during the work."

"We found our sliding glass door was leaking when it rained. Grand Openings replaced all of the original windows on our 50+ year old house 2 years previous. We were so pleased with the price, workmanship and quality of their products that we knew there was no one else to call. The windows are custom built to order so hey are a perfect fit and really high quality. The windows and the sliding glass door are from the same manufacturer and carry a lifetime, transferable warranty including the screens. Great selection of both windows and doors. We have referred many friends and family and all have been happy with their work. They were in and out of the house in a day and half. They took away the old doors and left the work site spotless. They are meticulous about the installation and cleanup. We did have one issue with the sliding glass door. It has integrated blinds that are magnetically controlled. There is a white plastic strip on the right side of the glass with a sliding mechanism to raise and lower the blind. the strip adhesive on the strip was failing. I called them to get ti fixed. they contacted the manufacturer and found that this was newer design and sent Grand Openings a new adhesive that they were now using to correct the issue. They cam right out and the fix is rock solid! They stand behind the products they sell! <br />"

"Was originally told that a technician would be able to come to my house the same day I called and would be able to repair the window. So, I rushed home from work. The technicians came at the time they were supposed to but all they did was measure the window dimensions and then they left. Told me they would not be able to fix the window, they'd need to order a new one and replace it due to the type of window. I was told I'd get a quote later that day and didn't get a quote for the window replacement until two days later. <br /> Despite the rocky start, I got quotes from other places and Amazinglass price was on-par with others and I decided to go with them. Their responses from then on out were timely. On the day of the service, technicians were punctual and very friendly. Work was done well, completed quickly and the place was neat when they left. I felt terrible that there was a small (vacant) hornet nest by the window on the exterior that we had forgotten to take care of earlier. They knocked it down and never even mentioned it to me. These guys were fantastic and I would recommend them to friends and family. <br />"

An appointment was made and came to my home as scheduled to discuss the project and the various options that I had . After some consideration I decided to go forward. An install date was made and they came when scheduled.
