"I had my appointment with Mr. Harmond W. on May 07, 2022. It was rather easy to set up appointments and the site makes it rather easy to reschedule (which I've had to do). Mr. Harmond W. was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. I've read great reviews about his appointments on here. We pinpointed the problem by process of elimination. For my particular model (Whirlpool) he's seen the common water leak issue I was experiencing. Oftentimes, filter housings need to be replaced. Mr. Harmond W. just confirmed my observation and I am glad I may now rectify the issue. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Harmond W. sent me the exact part needed via email . One may shop around at different retailers to purchase the part. Neli also sells appliance OEM parts as well by partnering with other companies. I will be going with another retailer/seller since the price was much lower with a good return policy and a protection plan option as well. For $35, one can't beat that. A diagnostic evaluation alone may range from $150 and up. I was able to pinpoint the problem and order the part. I won't be arranging for an appointment to self-install. One has to know where to draw the line. I will hire someone once I have the part in hand. I already have someone in mind, also referred by Angi. Luckily, I didn't have to do any thing too cumbersome. I gained some handy tools at well. I really liked using the nutdriver vs a screwdriver. So I've added all the necessary tools I need for the appointment to my collection, and they will be handy in the future. Overall this was an optimal experience and I would certainly refer and use Neli in the future. If you are confident in unscrewing/re-screwing, and removing parts of your appliance, I'd say give it a try. NOTE: Also understand that this an all virtual service. An appliance repair professional doesn't not come to your home at no point in time. Neli offers self- diagnostic guidance to determine the issue with your appliances. Neli sends you the part number. You purchase it, and then may opt to make another appointment to install the part. If the task is too difficult, then you may opt to hire an appliance repair professional. It's up to you to decide. Please read and understand your referrals before posting comments and discrediting businesses."

"He was able to accommodate a Saturday schedule. Although we had some communication delays, he promptly advised me that due to an emergency, he was not able to keep the original scheduled time. He kindly re-scheduled a Sunday morning in order to accommodate my tight weekend schedule. He fixed the problem with the dryer. Also, he took note of my model and serial numbers in the event the problem re-occurred - it would more than likely be an electronic board problem. In that event, he asked that I call him and he would research the cost in advance for a replacement electronic board. Very accommodating, pleasant, knowledgable and professional."

"I have to say I rang the Appliance guy as the local company in Provincetown refused to come out as I did not buy my machine from them. I spoke to both Paulo and Denise initially and found their service to be responsive, friendly and very professional. The Appliance Guy responded to my call immediately, set up service at a convenient time for me and were very reasonable in price. Paulo (the technician) was very friendly and very professional too. I even lost the invoice and they were prompt and responsive in getting a duplicated emailed to me for my records. I will definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone who asks. Keep up the great work Appliance Guys!!"

"It's worth noting that Brewster Appliance website has an huge list of services to offer, from Appliance Services (A) to Water Purifiers - but our call was about a broken refrigerator. <br /> <br /> Like most refrigerator issues (probably) ours caused some panic, and two previous attempts to obtain a service call weren't successful (although the first provider we called wanted to be helpful and ran through a brief checklist with us on the phone, but ultimately wasn't familiar enough with our model to warrant a visit)  It was a Saturday and we hadn't noticed the warm atmosphere in the fridge until lunchtime, so our effort to try and find a repair person was urgent, since Sunday would be that much more difficult.  We called Brewster Appliance, and after reviewing the same checklist on the phone (for instance, "Is there power?" (yes, the interior light is on) and so forth) Mr. Kirkbride told us he could be there around three o'clock.  He appeared as promised, fixed the refrigerator, and gave us a bill that was very reasonable.  We are happy to recommend Brewster Appliance and Mr. Kirkbride."

FAQs for appliance (major electric appliance) installation and replacement projects in East Orleans, MA

A pro starts by setting the units in place and connecting them to the right plumbing lines, electrical circuits, and, for the dryer, a vent. If the hookups already exist, the job is quick. When they don’t, the installer must add plumbing, outlets, or a vent run, which takes more time and increases the price, especially when the laundry area is located far from existing utilities.

You’ll need the right pros for a tight stacked setup. A natural-gas plumber handles the water lines, drain, and any gas work, while an electrician installs the circuit the dryer needs. If venting or framing changes are required, hire a general contractor to patch the drywall or adjust the framing so that everything meets code and operates safely.

Permanent models need complete plumbing, electrical, and—for dryers—vent hookups. Portable units skip most of that and can run on a standard outlet with a temporary water connection. If your home already has a code-approved hookup, you just connect the new appliances. If not, hire a licensed pro to add the lines and vent so the machines run safely and efficiently.

Relocating a hookup costs between $500 and $5,000, as it may involve installing new outlets, gas lines, vents, and drain pipes. The price increases when the new location is far from existing utilities or requires additional framing and drywall work. Have licensed professionals evaluate your layout, provide a quote for the move, and handle the installation so that every component meets code and works safely.
