"Jeff Vincent called me back quickly. He showed up right on time, put in my new garbage disposal, switched out the under sink piping so it's up to current code, was tidy and cleaned up beautifully and one would never know he was ever there. A really good guy. And the price seemed fair for all the work. He's on my plumber list now."

"Joe and his son were great to work with. He responded very quickly to my call and came right on time. The job went very well and he provided some great advice for maintaining the heater going forward. Really enjoyed working with Joe and would hire him again in the future."

"Danny D, Jerry, and Adam, y’all are stuck with me as a client lol. They provided excellent service, funny, kind, accommodating and explained all that they were doing and all of our goals in maintaining my plumbing. They went above and beyond and I know in the future this is my go to team for our plumbing needs. They showed up last year and this year and just taught me so much in maintaining my home system and their expertise!!!"

"I called Bob on a Tuesday and we scheduled Friday morning for the install. While on the phone I was able to give him a relatively accurate description of the current gas line configuration and the routing and distance involved and he gave me a rough estimate, which was reasonable. He arrived promptly Friday morning as scheduled. The work went smoothly, was done neatly and Bob did a thorough clean up. There were no surprises and the charges were the same as the estimate. Bob was courteous and professional. I will definitely call him back for future work."

"Eric came out and replaced our water heater and fixed our dishwasher. He was quick and professional. When he was done I asked him if he could take a look at our bathroom vanity. We currently had another plumbing company installing it, but they said they could not properly do it unless they cut out a section of our drawer to fit a pipe. I wanted to see if there was another way. Eric looked at the vanity for 5 minutes (which it took the other company 45 and they still couldn't do it) and figured out a way to hook it up. He not only saved us from dealing with that other company again, but also from ruining our brand new vanity!! We will be calling them for all of our plumbing needs from here on out! Thank you!!"

"VERY professional, VERY competent. One man was in charge of the job and he was there every day there was work done. He had other help some days. Martens also contracted to remove the asbestos from my old furnace; a separate outfit did that; they were done in less than a day. (Their work was also very professional.) <br> <br>I was impressed with how hard the Martens men worked, and with their knowledgeable expertise. They had a gas furnace, a humidifier, a wood burner, new thermostats, and a good deal of sheet metal to install--All was done competently. They also un-wired my old furnace and mostly removed that, also the old oil tank--I broke up the cast iron myself.  <br> <br>The whole job was not cheap, but OTOH I had a lot done and a lot of new product. <br> <br>The new heating system worked great over this past winter. <br> <br>I am very pleased, once again, to recommend Martens Plumbing & Heating, Inc. of Mukwonago."

"The service technician did a thorough job cleaning the chimney and kept any debris from getting on the carpets.  He cleaned up the area very nicely.  When he replaced the log lighter, he found he needed an additional length of pipe which he did not have in his truck.  He quickly drove to the nearest hardware store and purchased what he needed to finish the job.  He returned immediately--not the next day or in the future--the exact same day about 20 minutes after he left.  Definitely above my expectations and we were able to use the fireplace that evening which was outstanding.  Great work all around and I would definitely recommend this provider to anyone. <br />"

"The whole process was easy and flawless. Josh came out and assessed our need, which agreed with other professionals who had looked at our deteriorating chimney. Got a great price, too. We scheduled the rebuild, chose our new brick, Joe, John, and Josh tore the old one down, and the next day rebuilt what can only be described as a work of art. It’s perfect and better than the original when it was new. Just 3 days of rebuild and 100% done. It’s beautiful and I couldn’t be more pleased. We’ll certainly have them back for any other services they provide. Well done, guys, and thank you."

FAQs for gas piping projects in East Troy, WI

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
