"I cannot say enough wonderful things about Flash Painters. They arrived when they were supposed to, finished the job when t hey said they would, cleaned up when they were done and charged a fair price for the work. When working on the inside of my house, they were meticulous in covering things so no paint got on furniture and when finished, went through the house and made sure I was satisfied with the job in every room. On the outside of the house, they did everything necessary to make the house look good, pounding in nails, filling woodpecker holes, and caulking where needed. They even came in and made sure all my windows opened and put screens in. I later hired Flash again to stain my deck and paint a ceiling. "After having our water heater and gas boiler inspected, we learned that the water heater needed to be replaced and the gas boiler required thousands of dollars in repairs.  I originally contacted Peter Zereski about the water heater and also mentioned the issue with the boiler.  Peter carefully answered all of my questions and then asked if I was interested in a tankless unit that would supply all of the hot water to the house as well as the heat.  I ended up going with the tankless system which, after rebates, costs about the same as buying a new water heater and repairing the boiler.  Not only that but we now have a high efficiency system.  Peter was extremely knowledgeable about plumbing and very responsive.  The installation was a major task and he and his team managed to complete it within 3 days.  I am very pleased with how the installation turned out and will definitely use his services in the future

"Given the complexity of the project, it went as smoothly as something like this can go. Hagit developed a very functional and attractive design based around an island that would seat 3, along with a variety of cabinetry. She was very patient when we wanted a number of adjustments. She accompanied us to pick out counters and backsplash, and always seemed to have good ideas for selections according to our tastes. Brian mapped out the engineering, which included moving a support beam, together with an engineering firm. He also mapped out a three-month schedule with the various subcontractors the firm uses, like the plumber, electrician, plasterer, counter people, floor people, etc. They all had lots of experience with this kind of work, and in working with KCF. Brian worked hard to ensure that new wood flooring would match well with existing flooring just outside the new kitchen. The KCF team also took a lot of care to set things up in our condo to create barriers to minimize dust and dirt, and try to ease our inconvenience; they even loaned us a microwave to use in our temporary kitchen in the basement. For the most part, subs showed up as scheduled, and did good work. KCF also coordinated all the town inspections. There were only a few glitches--the biggest one was when the tiles for the backsplash arrived broken, and it took some weeks to get replacements. The tile outfit wasn't very responsive, and seemed not to care much. But KCF kept on with all the other work, and the tiles were finally put in pretty much near the end. We have used the kitchen for a couple months now and love it. The design and craftsmanship all worked well. Going through a kitchen re-do is never a pleasant experience, but KCF made it as painless as possible."

"My first experience with Julio was an after-hours discovery that my water heater was going out. I urgently called a few people, then a Boston number for "emergency plumbing." The answering service was very kind and helpful in connecting me to Julio, and through a back and forth process of texts and iphone photos I was instructed how to turn off the water. It took a couple of hours for him to arrive with an assistant named Michael. They evaluated the situation, then offered to purchase a new Hot Water Heater at Home Depot, which they did, and then offered to continue the work and were all finished that evening--a bonus for me. Although I was a bit concerned about the process of having him do that purchase, I was given the receipt from home depot and the labor and installation cost was less than I paid the last time. I paid him the total with AmEx on a portable card reader. He apologized for the condition of the invoice he gave me, since he had to re-use one and it was a bit messy. Also, I wanted to have a TACO overflow valve installed, but our communication was a bit of a challenge, and I don't believe that was done. However, he did a reasonable job of cleaning up a tough basement situation. On the basis of this work, I hired the company again to install a new faucet in the kitchen, and to replace a garbage disposal. This time I shopped for both. Michael was sent at the agreed upon time, and did a fine job on the faucet. When it was time to replace the disposal, he consulted with Julio by phone and asked if I would like him first to try to repair the disposal, quoting me a labor cost that was lower than it would be for replacement. I agreed, and he was able to find the cause of the jam and I returned the new disposal. A happy result. This time I paid by check, I will call again as the need arises. I feel they do good work, with none of the high pressure or cost that I have had in the past with others doing similar work, and they are very nice people."
