"We would highly recommend Waters Custom Exteriors for roofing, siding, and guttering as they are top notch Professionals!!! From the initial phone call to get an estimate on a new roof, Travis was very helpful. After arriving at our house to look at the roof and give us a replacement estimate Travis said we should contact our insurance company and have an adjuster come to the property to see the shingles, siding, and guttering that had been damaged from a previous hail storm. We scheduled with the adjuster and Travis came out on the arranged day and went on the roof with the adjuster and pointed out the damage that he had seen. Waters Custom Exteriors is definitely the company everyone needs when working with an insurance company. They knew exactly what was needed to move the claim forward and from that point forward until completion of the job Waters Custom Exteriors handled everything with the insurance company. The crew that Waters had performing the work on the roof was eager to get started and arrived early on the scheduled day with a dump trailer to haul away the debris from the tear-off and they quickly got underway. All of the materials needed to complete the roof were being delivered mid-morning as the final removal of the old shingles was wrapping up. There were a few underlayment boards that were bad that got replaced before they started putting down the new roof. By later in the evening, the shingles had been all put down and the new roof looked amazing. The new shingles were the architectural type and a welcomed upgrade to the standard three tab shingle that was previously on the house. When finished, the crew walked the property and picked up any debris from the project and rolled a magnet through the yard numerous times to insure all nails on the ground were picked up and when the job was completed, it was almost as if they had never been there. After the roof job, the siding went just as smoothly with a different crew sent out by Waters Custom Exteriors. Just as before, they showed up early on the scheduled day and got straight to work. The tear-off went quickly and any repairs to the underlying structure were completed before beginning the residing. All necessary materials needed to finish the job were delivered the night before and neatly stacked out of the way in the drive. The siding job obviously took longer than the roof, and each day the crew was on-site they were busy and polite, although there was little interaction with them as they were dedicated to staying on task. They were very meticulous and took pride in the work they were performing and it shows in the finished product. Each day the old siding and debris removed from the house was loaded onto a truck and hauled away leaving nothing unsightly in the yard. Once all of the siding was complete and the site cleaned up, there was a period of time before the fascia and guttering could be installed. This was at no fault of Waters. The color we had chosen was out of stock and would not be available for a couple of weeks. Waters gave us the option to pick another color or wait it out. We waited. When the material arrived at the house, it was again neatly stacked out of the way in the drive and Waters Custom Exteriors came out and installed it promptly. The house looks amazing and we couldn’t be happier. Waters saved us a huge amount of money by being there for us and working with the insurance to cover the damage from the hail storm. We would not hesitate to use Waters Custom Exteriors for any future projects at our house and would highly recommend that you use them as well."

"The sales rep, Randy was very polite and friendly and wearing a nice logo polo shirt. He walked us through all of our options and made us happy with going with The Window Source. We were told 6-8 weeks for installation and it ended up taking 11 weeks. When the install date came around, my wife took off work for the install day & at 7pm the night prior we were called to say they couldn't come until the following day. We had to rearrange our entire schedule to accommodate with less than 10 hours before they were originally supposed to be there. The “installers” came the next day and got started around 9:30am & didn't leave until 9:30 at night and still didn't finish, not because they ran out of time but because they would sit in the driveway and smoke cigarettes every half hour and hang out. There were 2 guys who came in old, unmarked beat up trucks. They were in grungy clothes that showed no indication they were installers for the window source. One guy kept a cigarette in his mouth the entire time while he was installing doors, literally all day. For two days after, our home smelled of cigarette smoke. One installer was the main guy & the helper with him seemed like it was his 1st day on the job. They worked very slowly and the main installer “ran to grab lunch” for 2 hours... Of course, they should take a break for lunch, but had they not just mosied around all day with countless smoke and hang out breaks, they wouldn’t have been at my house finishing in the dark at 9:30 at night. They had to come back to finish & insisted on coming on a day we weren't available (Mother’s Day) so I texted him telling him we were not available Sunday and his reply was “I really need to finish them tomorrow” With no regard that I said we wouldn’t be home since we had Mother’s day plans. We apologized and said he’d have to come Monday or Tuesday. He never replied. Monday came around and he just showed up at our house at 7pm without prior communication he was coming. When he came, he finished up and everything went well. Ultimately, we love our new doors, but the professionalism of the contractors was not up to par with their sales staff. It feels a bit of bait & switch. They send great sales guys out and sub-par installers. Overall, I'd work with a more family owned business in the future."

"Our brick ranch house was in need of TLC on the old fiber board siding, which my wife and I have painted four times ourselves. We wanted to make the exterior maintenance free with a good quality vinyl siding. We contacted five separate companies, four of which were listed in Angie’s list, to get estimates. We chose The Home Improvement Co. They were neither the highest nor the lowest estimate. We based our decision on the reviews in Angie’s list, pictures of the work that had been accomplished on other jobs, and Matt’s straight forward honest presentation. Matt convinced us that one of the most important details of this work is an experienced crew that knows how to work with the material. We had chosen the insulated backed vinyl siding. The crew (Kevin and Rueben) and Matt arrived Friday and started the demolition on the west side of the house. We were having all the old siding removed and replaced with new board, moisture barrier, and the vinyl siding. They completed that side including cleanup in one day. The whole job was completed by the following Friday. The crew was great. They were friendly and professional, and they worked well together as a team. They answered any question we had and honored any request we made. They also wrapped all the windows and doors with aluminum coil. They transformed the exterior of our home. We are completely satisfied. We comment to each other every time we pull into the driveway how good our home looks now. We still plan on replacement windows and a new back door. Price was competitive with other quotes but the difference was that they always kept in touch with email or per phone on any changes or concerns. We were glad to have chosen this company out of the three interviewed for the job. They seemed to care and had pride in the job to be completed. John from sales was great to work with.

"Wonderful company!! Garry was on time to do our estimate and presented enough information about the windows. No high-pressure sales tactics. Once hired to replace our windows, they came to the house to do a final measuring. We received our windows in about 4 weeks, which is exactly the time frame they gave us. On the day of installation, Mike and Brian arrived on time (actually a few minutes early!) and discussed the installation plan. I could tell Mike and Brian care about their work. They did not rush and took the time to do things right. We are very pleased with Federal and will hopefully be able to hire them to replace the rest of our windows next year."
