"With our rather old cabin-style home, the plumbing from the kitchen sink had a plug of hardened grease over 30 years old. We discovered this the first day when they drilled through it with a snake; we had them return a couple of days later with a hydrojet unit to clean it out. Our house is located in the mountains, and may not be particularly easy to get the equipment out here, but they had very little difficulty. They used a lengthy hose to go around the back of the house, then sent the nozzle through the pipe behind the trap to clear it out. I got a callback within half hour and was told that Tyler was about to finish his work in Palo Alto so he could come in about 1 hour if I wanted. Tyler came on time and explained how he would do it after checking briefly. He started working on very quickly, shut off the water at the meter and knelt down to cut off the leaking valve. He replaced it with a ball valve and soldered the pipes neatly. He even polished the copper pipe at the end. The whole job was done in about 45 minutes, and I'm more than happy with the quality of the work. Even my picky dad gave it a thumb-up."

I didn't know what it was, and sewage started coming out a few days later. I had another plumbing company come out and quote me $30k for a sewer lateral. I then had them return to strap pipes under the house and install a water pressure regulator, as the water pressure was 95 when it should be 60.
