"Ruben and his assistant were awesome. They called to let me know when they were on the way, replaced the kitchen faucet, added stops for water flow under the sink, and replaced the pipes that had developed leaks. If there was a grade above A, they would definitely get it. The area where they worked was completely cleaned up, and their work was very neat and efficient. I expected to pay much more than I did. If you ever need a plumber, look no further."

"Very fast response. The tech was very professional and courteous. It was a pipe repair inside an interior wall. The wall opening was minimized and the pipe repaired. The communication with the office was also very good. Would recommend to anyone needing a plumber."

"Professional, reliable, and knowledgeable, plus a very good price. The father-and-son team showed up on time, figured out where the gas leak was on my heater and fixed it promptly at a cost well below what I was quoted elsewhere. They also advised me on a gas stove and gas fireplace. Will definitely be calling on them again."

"I was quoted a price that was extremely high for the amount of work performed. On site plumbers were very professional and helpful, but after the work was performed they called back to the office to get a price that was very high. I had to talk to the owner to get a break down of the work performed and it did not add up to the two hours that the onsite plumbers were at my house. On top of that, I had to run to and buy the replacement parts to have the repair done."

FAQs for gas piping projects in El Paso, TX

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
