"As a quick preface, the technician and service provided were good. They were on time and I am happy with the work they did. That said, I needed a new outlet installed in my garage. They were able to run the wire through the attic and did not need to mount the outlet into drywall. So, not a big job in terms of parts or labor (a bit over an hour?). They charged over $700 for the work. After asking a couple of other reputable electricians about it while they were here talking to me about another project, it turns out I paid at least double what an industry-standard rate should have been. Totally my fault for not getting multiple quotes before the original project. Another thing to keep in mind is that they charge a consultation fee to send out an electrician to provide a quote for a job. As I said, the work overall is good and I hope this is a one-off issue. That said, if you are thinking about paying Applewood to quote your project, I highly recommend you speak to a couple of other professionals first before the Applewood electrician is sent out."

"Prior to hiring Topshelf to install a wholehouse steam humidifier I spoke with several companies. Darrell responded quickly, was knowledgeable and willing to explain and answer all my questions and concerns. His team arrived on time, introduced themselves, followed Covid safety measures, put shoe coverings on everytime they entered my house. When the installation was completed, they made sure I knew how to operate the system. No trace of them was left behind only a house that now is humidified and overall much warmer with a lower temperature setting. I would highly recommend this company!"

"Ben came out to assess my parents furance. He was upfront about the cost to diagnose, but upon inspection found that it had a carbon monoxide leak (it was around 20 years old). He waived the diagnosis fee and provided a free bid. After we approved, he booked us in an extremely quick manor because of the weather. He was fast, efficient, and wore show covers to keep the house clean. He then explained to my parents how to properly maintain the new furance, completed the paperwork for the warranty, and said to give him a call if they wanted to hire him for yearly maintenance. It wasn't pushy or slimy and I felt like my parents were truely taken care of and given good advice as well as options."
