"I recently had two new American Standard heat pumps and air handlers installed. The techs were highly professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. They took the time to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. I had hung a hook rack on the opposite wall from one of the air handlers and I thought I went into a stud but the screw actually went into the back of the metal heating cabinet. When the tech pulled it out to replace it he pulled some of the drywall out on the side I had installed the rack. It was my fault but he felt bad about it and his supervisor insisted that he repair it for me. I told him I would take care of it but he almost pleaded with me to let him fix the drywall. He came back the next morning and repaired everything as if it never happened, paint included. This is the best A/C and heating company I have ever dealt with and I've had several over the years. I would not call anyone else for my A/C and Heating requirements. I HIGHLY recommend them."

"One Call Roofing was great. On the initial estimate, they were a little higher than the other two estimates but the other two  estimates did not include installing the ridge vent. The other two companies were going to replace the turbines (both worked fine). There was no pressure to accept their estimate and no "fancy" talk. Phillip explained what would be done and how it would be done.
The crew was on time and completed the roofing in one day (it was almost dark when they finished). They worked solid all day except for a brief break for lunch and a brief rain shower for which they put tarps on the roof until the rain stopped. Very good crew!
They returned the next morning to clean up and run the magnet over the front/back yard to pick stray nails. They did a very good job of cleaning the area - I've found a few pieces of small pieces of shingles in the grass but I would expect that with any company.
One thing I really liked was the installation of a waterproof membrane under the roof valley and around the heat vents.
One more important fact:  I received a $500 discount for being a member of Angie's List. This was applied AFTER they gave me the estimate.

"CHW was very responsive to our urgent need! We filed a claim the evening prior when we notices our A/C was blowing warm air into the rooms. Then by 8AM the next day, we had a call from the service technician saying he was on his way to address the issue! "I had the chimney cleaning and inspection performed in April on the $78 special, and asked for an estimate to repair some damage and install a chimney cap. I had damage from racoons that ripped up the screen covering the chimney, loosened some bricks and had built a nest inside the chimney on a ledge just above the fireplace damper. The worker who did the cleaning was on time for the appointment, was efficient, thorough, and careful to keep all dust and debris from entering my home through the fireplace while he was vacuuming. He inspected the chimney from inside the fireplace and from outside for damage and signs of water leakage, carefully explained the options for a repair and installation of a new cover and gave me an estimate based on my selection. Fireplace Doctor called the next day and set up another appointment, about 2 weeks later, for the repair work.
Two workers came to do the repair work and installation of a lock-top damper (one that could be completely closed from inside the fireplace when not in use). Brickwork and mortar repair was done, installation of the damper completed and a total (3 coat) waterproofing of the mortar cap and brickwork was done in a couple of hours. I climbed up on the roof to inspect the work and one of the men showed and explained the work done and then came into the house and showed me how to use the open/close mechanism for the lock-top damper. The total with the Angies list discount was $1148.
