"Excellent service and went above and beyond to assist us with our project. We had an area near our patio door that we needed to replace our subflooring prior to them installing our new door. We did the work and then had the opening covered with plastic. I contacted Andrew Cantu to see if it might be possible to get the door installed a bit earlier then the rest of the windows. They were extremely helpful and came out a day earlier than scheduled and did the patio door. Our windows look wonderful and the difference it makes in the appearance of our home is amazing. Their professional installation really finished the job with quality and an excellent look. We could not have asked for a better company or people to work with. Thank you, Jones Windows and Doors!"

"They're great. On the last four years they came out on three different occasions, first they did almost the whole house, then my shop, and they had notice that one of my window had a cracked and they replaced it after two weeks. They had a great prices and follow through."

"For 30 years this door has been misaligned and had to be opened and shot pushing really hard with your shoulder. The door was just not quite home right but it wasn't bad enough to fix until I decided why am I leaning on this door so hard every time to open and close it.... The reason was is I did not know or trust anyone to fix it without just telling me to get a new door and frame. A contractor friend of mine told me to call Dave and have him come over and look at the door. This other contractor told me that Dave was one of the best door people in town and was very honest and high integrity and does quality work. I highly recommend Dave if you have any door that doesn't feel right or you know needs fixing but doors can be tough let me tell you Dave will give you honest advice and if you could fix it he will. Dave came over to my house on time was very friendly and respectful of my house. I showed him the door in about 10 seconds he told me the fundamental problem and he said he thought he could fix it in about an hour and that he would charge $75 for that hour. I could not have been happier with his work and that $75 fee. If you have any door problem call Dave at Eugene sash and door. Dave knows what he's doing and he's an honest solid guy. <br />"

"Another great experience with Mark & company. We had our windows done by them at another home, which is why we chose them again. The owner Mark came out several times to be sure the measurements were right, and the crew that came were respectful and professional. They did a great job installing the windows, and cleaned up as they went. Highly recommend them! <br />"

"JC was wonderful, knowing that we were under the gun to get the repair done quickly, he was able to make time and did a beautiful job repairing our kitchen pipe and surrounding wall and cabinets. He gave us a list of things that we could do and/or purchase in advance to limit his time so that our cost was reduced. JC was honest and very flexible. JC was also very pleasant to work with, and although he doesn't list it, he is very good with little children who are interested in watching him work. In addition, he was very willing to answer a few odds and ends questions I had about other issues I had with the house. I would work with JC again any day."

"Things we liked about Abee: <br /> <ul> <li>*The owner of the company, Wayne, came out to our house and and personally did the measurements.  He obviously knows the window installation business well, and could speak in detail about construction specifics.</li> <li>*Wayne was professional and polite.  He seemed like an honest, straightforward man.<br /> *The price quoted was one of the lowest for high quality windows ($4160).</li> </ul> <br /> Things that could have been better: <br /> <ul> <li>*As knowledgable and honest as Wayne seemed, I wish he would have spent more time with us determining what we wanted, and what would work best for us.  He knew that we were working through our utility to get this done, and it felt like the quote was made to match the amount our utility would fund.</li> <li>*We weren't shown any window samples.  Other companies brought samples with them.</li> <li>*We weren't given an option on windows.  Wayne took measurements, and let us know he'd be in touch with the bid.  There was no conversation about window choices (brands, coatings, grids, etc...).</li> <li>*Wayne told us the bid would be sent to us in a couple business days.  However, after a week of waiting, I called the office asking for an update.  The next day I finally received an estimate.</li> </ul> <br /> Reason we chose another vendor: <br /> <ul> <li>*The reasons stated above.  None of them were major, and I'm sure if we had asked for more personalized treatment, Wayne and the company would have given it to us happily.  As it turned out, another vendor provided us what we were looking for without us having to request it.</li> <li>*We liked the window brand offered by another vendor.</li> <li>*We decided to get insulation installed at the same time, and the vendor we chose does both.</li> </ul> <br />"

FAQs for new windows service projects in Eugene, OR

Yes, bay windows add value to a home. They enhance the property by expanding the interior space and flooding rooms with natural light. Their unique three-panel design creates a stunning focal point that elevates curb appeal and modernizes living areas. This architectural detail increases both functional space and visual appeal, directly contributing to higher home resale value.

Yes, all window types have the potential to become part of a bay window configuration when modified correctly. The transformation involves reconfiguring standard windows into a multi-panel design that features a larger central window flanked by smaller ones. This process requires precise professional planning and custom framing to ensure durability, visual balance, and structural integrity.

Bay windows typically consist of three glass panels extending beyond the home's exterior walls, with a larger center panel flanked by two smaller ones. In contrast, bow windows are composed of four to six equally sized glass panels that create a gentle curve and do not extend as far from the exterior walls.

Bay windows cost more than standard windows because their expansive, multi-panel design requires additional materials and skilled labor. Their construction involves extra glass, specialized frame components that extend outward, and complex operating mechanisms. These technical demands necessitate precise engineering and multiple expert installations, thereby significantly increasing both material and labor expenses.

Bay windows cost three times more than standard double-hung windows because their design requires extra panels, expanded framing, and a more complex installation process. The advanced construction method increases material consumption and demands comprehensive expertise, while specialized window treatments further elevate expenses. This all results in a significant difference in overall project cost.
