My install was quite straight forward so they finished mid-day and cleaned up nicely and were on their way. I got what I believed was the best heater unit on the market (Bradford-White) installed for a very competitive price. Noticed immediate improvement to my hot water system. "We decided this spring to finally replace the 1968 vintage furnace in our house to take advantage of federal tax credits and to prevent an unplanned furnace failure in some future dead of winter. The original furnace/AC unit was wheezy, inefficient, improperly installed, and potentially dangerous (every contracter who looked at it suggested that we keep the batteries in the CO detector fresh). We chose Aire Serv after some research about what products were most reliable, 3 quotes, and some recommendations from friends. We bought our system (ultra-high efficiency Amana furnace and AC unit, new water heater) from Lowell, who was pleasant, efficient, responsive, and polite. Travis and Kevin were the technicians who installed the units--installation went only slightly over their original time estimate, and both technicians were polite and professional. Their work areas were left very clean. Since installation, we've been very happy with the way the units have functioned--quieter and much more effective than the old ones. We've had two 'glitches' with them since installation. In the first case, the water heater didn't work one morning. A technician came out that day, found a loose connection (plug not in all the way) that fixed things immediately. On the second occasion, the air conditioning went out. Again, a technician came out the same day (in the evening, no less--guy looked tired, but didn't bag the call until the next day!), found the problem (AC overfilled), fixed it, then hung around for an hour to make sure it continued to work. Overall, we've been very pleased with the quality of product and service we received through Aire Serv--they weren't the least expensive company we talked to, but they did their job meticulously and have been very attentive since installation."

"We had a new kitchen sink drain line installed to accommodate a deep under mount sink, as well as a 75-gallon power-vent water heater and new drain lines under a laundry sink. The Great: Tom Hedlund, whom I spoke to a few times in advance to our service, was very responsive and helpful. I also can't speak highly enough about the plumbers who came out and completed the service. Adam and Donnie were everything one would hope for from service providers: Timely, courteous, friendly, worked efficiently, did quality, neat work and tested it upon completion, provided useful information, and cleaned up when they were done. My husband and I are pretty particular, and we feel confident that they did a great job! The Could-Be-Better: Our first interaction with Hedlund was a different pair of their plumbers who came out to provide an estimate on work. We did this because we didn't want any surprises in terms of expense, or the extent of work. The plumbers who came out for the estimate were friendly, but apparently not good at details. Most of the information they provided was wrong, including the fact that 1) our drain lines didn't need re-routing (despite my questioning them on that); and 2) that our water heater is natural gas (in fact, it is LP, but they never asked and never noted it). The only reason we didn't have a couple of nasty surprises on the service day is because I questioned these two items beforehand, so was able to resolve the details over the phone, and they were able to change the water heater order before it was too late. In summary, the work we received from Hedlund was excellent, but the guys who provided an estimate need to work on their attention to detail."
