"After an exhaustive search and multiple estimates to replace my old chain link fence with vinyl fence, I found Madison Fence online. They had very good ratings so I gave them a call. Frank, the owner, came out to give me an estimate. Frank was professional, knowledgeable and honest (something you don't find often). After receiving his estimate, which beat all his competitors, I decided to go with Madison. I could not be more thrilled with the job they did. They were scheduled to start the job on a Monday, to my surprise they came out early (Thursday) to remove and haul away my old chain link fence, deliver materials and prep everything for Monday. As promised they arrived on Monday morning. I have huge fence line and they completed the fence in a day and a half. His crew was also very professional, polite and accommodating. The fence is beautiful and I am very happy with Madison's work. I would definitely recommend this company for any of your fencing needs."

"The Village Carpenter, Mark L., did an excellent job rebuilding my deck. I had 10 long floor boards that were rotten and needed to be replaced. The deck looked somewhat the worse for wear and needed a fresh coat of stain. Mark gave me a detailed estimate right away. He noticed that some of the wood I had purchased had not been treated properly and so he took care of that on my behalf with out increasing the estimate. He removed all the old materials. The deck now looks brand new and I feel happy every time I go out on it. The best thing about all this was that he actually followed through and did things quickly and well for exactly what he had estimated. There was none of this "and when is he coming back to finish the job," which I've experience with other contractors. He works hard and well, is friendly and reliable, and does what he says he's going to do. He has also rebuilt my front steps which was a more complex operation that I'm also very happy with. I've posted a separate review on that project under masonry."

"We noticed that 4 of our fence post caps were missing and were most likely blown off during a wind storm. We contacted Fence Masters, who installed our fence 2 years ago to order replacements. Karen responded immediately and said they should have the post caps in stock and that TJ would be by to put them in at no cost. True to their word, TJ came by with the replacements, installed them, and he checked about 30 other post caps to make sure they were secure. This level of customer service is exceptional. Fence Masters was willing to make this service call two years after the original installation and also apologized that the caps blew off in the first place. We were prepared to pay for the materials and were pleasantly surprised that they covered this. We were so impressed with the professionalism, graciousness, and courtesy shown to us by Karen and TJ. "They did not say that it was impossible. They worked with my husband. I would nominate these guys for your hall of fame. First off, they were willing to discuss the job even though it was smaller and a bit of a challenge. They didn't say that it was impossible. They worked with my husband to come up with a very viable plan. they scheduled it around our availability. Their estimate was very reasonable. It wasn't bargain basement where we knew we weren't gonna get( quality work), right? It was extraordinarily reasonable. What we had them do...we had stairways to the basement that did not function, they were dangerous, they just weren't working for us. So they basically had to rip those out and make a new stairway with a landing and be to code. It was a challenging job. If it was a very easy job, my husband would have done it. Other very well reviewed people on Angies List said either they couldn't do it or that they'd get back to us, but they didn't. I believe it was a very small job. It was just a 5000 dollar job. Whatever the reason, I thought it was bad to be dismissive. We were going to need other work done. These guys worked with him on the design. They set a plan. They set the schedule. It turns out the first day it turned out they couldn't do it. The Ravens had just won the Super Bowl and it was a big todo here and after I thought about it, I decided that was reasonable. They came, they stayed on schedule, and they cleaned it every day. The work had really high standards. I'd say that the work exceeded my expectations. They did some finishing stuff that we didn't even know that we needed. I can't think of anything that I would not give them an A on. The owner is named Paolo Machioli. He has his team that he works with and they aren't sub-contractors, they are just his team. He doesn't take on many projects at a time and that is probably why he is able to be a perfectionist."

"Poor experience, resulting in rotten wood being put up, gates that did not close properly, and fence posts that were not evenly spaced. When we complained we were told we were difficult customers. They eventually fixed the rotten wood but the posts could not be fixed and were told it was our fault because we did not know to ask that fence posts be evenly spaced. (Silly us - we assumed they'd do it right the first time since this is their profession and we've never installed a fence before!)"
