"things went very well. The system was explained to me, and areas that I need to keep an eye out for were pointed out. I have used American Air since 2009 on three different homes. Always professional, on time, and fairly priced"

"There was quite a delay in getting the heat pump put in because of the arctic blast that came through. They were quite busy. There was a month delay between the time I called them and they time they were able to come out -- they originally said that it would only be a week, and we had to delay it by a week on our end as well."

"Everything was fine.  The only issue I have is that they didn’t honor the coupon we had on them from Angie’s List. That coupon was 200.00 off a complete system installation which is what they did.  The only stipulation on the coupon was that you must mention Angie’s List to get the discount off which I did as well.  They stated they could not honor the coupon because I didn’t let them know on the first call.  I had let them know once we figured out which system we wanted installed."

"The technicians called when they were on their way.  They came within the timeframe as expected.  It was a huge job that took almost 8 hours to complete.  The technicians Jamil & Lino were very professional and courteous. We were extremely satisfied with the overall proposal provided by Reliable and the work completed by the technicians.  I would strongly recommend this company to anyone looking for this service."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Fort Oglethorpe, GA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
