"Tony showed up and determined he needed to replace the old heater (1992) with a new one, remove and reroute several copper pipes, reroute the electrical wiring, and haul away the old water heater. The entire job took about 5 hours, and Tony was professional and did a fantastic job and now we have hot water throughout our home. Admiral Plumbing and Tony are absolutely wonderful."

"This company is amazing. I have used them in the past with great results. They tracked down my rather exotic (Blanco) kitchen faucet and got me a replacement one. A previous plumber had never followed up. <br /> The toilets arrived in a flash and were installed in one day. Service was great (as usual) <br /> PS they also have someone on staff that could fix the flame on my gas range. <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Arranged next-day appointment with a very pleasant Kayla and received call that plumber Joe was on the way.  Owner Joe Tully was most cordial, explained what needed to be done and performed work in a a prompt, professional manner.  The cost was most reasonable and he also explained a potential plumbing problem in the laundry room to my wife.  I would definitely call Genesis again for future plumbing issues. <br />"

"Their truck is fully equipped for most jobs. Martin and Mike arrived ready to work. Their arrival window was between 10-12. They arrived at 9:50 am. We talked to them about what we needed. They had arrived planning on fixing the shower leak and replacing the fixture. We discussed also getting our toilet and the toilet plumbing replaced. My daughter and I figured they would only do the scheduled shower work that day, but they did all the work. They wore shoe covers, and company shirts. They look professional, and do professional work. They cleaned up as they worked. They were cutting tile and soldering copper pipe (yes, copper pipe). The bathroom looked cleaner when they left than when they arrived! These guys are prompt, and very professional workers. They were here at least five hours, and left us after 3:30 pm for their next job. I hope they grabbed some food sometime after they left us. They never took a break and worked nonstop in our bathroom until they finished all the work. Their pricing seemed very fair, and what I was expecting. They may seem more expensive than other plumbers, but I believe you get what you pay for. They are also licensed HVAC technicians. We are scheduling another appointment for them to service our AC unit, plus they are going to install a mini-split unit to cool our garage."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Fort Pierce, FL

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
