From start to finish, we were very happy with the work and Tony's prompt responses to our inquiries. We received several quotes for the job and Tony's was comprehensive as well as priced competitively. The final product is exactly what we hoped for - the mortar matches the existing mortal well, the crews worked quickly and efficiently as well as cleaned up the work site after themselves, and our house looks great. What was most impressive was his and his crew's desire to ensure that we were satisfied with the job. He met all of our expectations and was willing to return to look at a few places that we thought might need additional work after they were finished with the job. We would not hesitate to hire TK Mason again for any job!"

"These guys were great. The owner, Art, was very helpful and was in constant communication. His son, Mike, kept me informed as to what they were going to do each day. We had a minor problem when stone dust got into our home while they were cutting up the stone cap on one of my chimneys and Art had a carpet and upholstery cleaner come over and clean up the residue on the carpets and furniture. The rest of the crew was very approachable and friendly and responsive to my requests. They even touched up some tuck pointing on my home I had done previously which was not done very well. I was very pleased with the work that was done and would hire these guys in an instant for any future repair or maintenance that I will need for my brick or stone work."

"Hector and his team did a GREAT job extending our driveway, removing old wood walkway and replacing with poured cement. his team were very professional and did good job of cleaning up. Professional lived up to their name. Our Neighbors even commented on how well the drive and walkway turned out. One even requested quote upon his completion."

"Rivera Concrete Paving's $8,500 bid became $11,000. Owner Magdiel Rivera adds charges after you're committed and doesn't follow through after payment. Cost increases: I mentioned roots upfront - he said equipment could handle it, then charged $450. Said grading unnecessary, then created false urgency claiming we HAD to grade before concrete. Later said could grade after. Added $1,800. Crew broke drainage pipes, charged me $250. Couldn't move AC condenser despite my asking during estimate. Payment tactics: Said pay "when satisfied." Then requested half early, then full payment before done. When I said work incomplete, he asked "Don't you trust me?" then broke promises. Broken promises: Walkway cured wrong, no follow-up. $1,800 grading included 3-month landscaping - no communication. Promised debris cleanup, later said not responsible. Damaged 4-month fence, couldn't repair properly, paid $300 after pressure. Dismisses costs at estimate, adds them later. Makes promises, then excuses."

"The crew was professional and timely. Working with them was easy! Our project was fluid in its definition, they made adjustment without question and ended up putting the patio forms back where they were in the first place. Sorry guys! Their experience enhanced our curved sidewalks, by accident or design, we don’t know. What we do know is, we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome."

"Generally well overall. Unfortunately, the weather (early spring) put off the date for the final paving over the outside drain tile. There was also an area along the basement wall for which they didn't install the seepage material (no explanation why). The team broke one basement window, reported to the manager that I had approved replacing ALL the windows with glass block ($200 each for 5 windows). I explained that I had not spoken with them at all, and I'd be willing to replace the ONE broken window. They replaced two. At no extra charge to me. I felt as though it was my responsibility to nag (when will you be able to finish? what's going on with the outdoor work?), when that should be the priority of the business... keeping me informed about what's going on. Finally, when moving appliances, they destroyed my washing machine (cracked a cement part so it couldn't be repaired). I wasn't aware this had occurred until after the fact. I complained but have had no response. Despite the carelessness and unresponsiveness, that basement is dry as a bone. Can't complain on that note. I marked that I would hire again... slightly unsure about that. I'd like to think there's a perfect company out there that would contact me up-front about when work stops or will continue, or when they break something. Otherwise, the foundation work + sump pump install was superb."

"Excellent work taking out old cement between large stones on landing and steps and reapplying cement.  They also tuck pointed the whole stairway structure which is quite large.  They did this over three days, were on time and reliable.

"I've worked with many contractors over the years and JJB is the best I've worked with for residential remodeling. That's no small statement. JJB is responsive, communicative, on-time and on-schedule, does not cut corners, always willing to tackle new issues or problems that arise during construction, respectful of neighbors / other tenants, and very fairly priced for the quality of work that they provide. We even had some city permitting issues from prior construction that JJB was able to take on and get cleared up. I can't express how much headache this saved me! On top of being great contractors, Joe and Jeff and their team are also just great people - very personable, easy to communicate with, and a pleasure to be around. They really desire to make their customers happy and to do good work. You won't find any cheap shortcuts or shoddy work with this team. When the time comes for another construction job in the area, they will be my first call. I really can't give much of a higher recommendation than that!"
