"It couldn’t have gone better! Carl was experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. Plus, he smelled gas which is why he replaced the valve on my water heater. It was a great visit!"

"Within 5 minutes after Roy walked in, I knew I was speaking with an expert. He talked me out of wasting money on what I wanted (getting rid of boiler and replying on furnace) telling me about how everyone in the city during -40 degree nights was will freeze and if I keep the boiler I'll be comfy. He also talked me out of choosing a heat pump, saying in Chicago it will cause problems in the dead of winter and then I'll be out of luck. Initial estimate was only to replace the 60 year oil leaky boiler and 40 year old loud AC and furnace. Came in, did the work quickly, and when we were doing final inspection he pointed out where my last remaining original furnace was having problems. Gave me a great price to just get the the last furnace and AC done (AC was 40 years old). I know they won't be the cheapest but if you want someone you can trust who will guide you with his 30 years of experience and teach you the finer details of heating and cooling while delivering quality work, go with Porterhouse. I won't trust anyone else."

"Nathan was very patient with all my questions and respects those who can do some DIY work. I tried to repair the issue on my own but ultimately needed to replace the entire pump. He installed a new one and it’s working great."

"Patrick, the owner made the service call to my house in about 1/2 hour. I was alone, babysitting for my two grandchildren and very worried. I explained my problem, he told me what to look for (a water shut off valve) and asked if I could turn the water off. I told him I would try. I was frantic because with the babies, then not finding any shut off valve, water coming up from the floor, and clearing way for what I thought would be a wall tear down - Patrick and his "manager" (?) arrived. (Mind you, my family also came to help, but did not locate the shut off valve). The water pipe happened to run under my bedroom floor! Needless to say, WITHIN MINUTES the rushing water stopped. I still have water for daily household use as the problem was a broken pipe to the exterior spigot. Patrick was soaked, yet took the time to explain to me why exactly this had happened. He encouraged me to wait until the Spring when the weather is warmer to make any changes and repairs. Patrick is professional, knowledgeable, and quite a gentleman, (despite being waterlogged) and I felt that he gave me all options for this future repair. <br /> <br />"

"Great thanks Technicians TONY and TYLER! This service rang ALL the bells. They were very professional and pleasant. I Had them replace three shutoff valves under the sink which were frozen and had small leaks. I asked about cheaper fixes and they advised replacing the whole valves, which was actually what I preferred. They gave a price and it was exactly what I researched as being a good, reasonable price. They were quick and exact and tested all of the valves that they replaced (hot/cold/dishwasher). I have used them in the past and have also used other plumbing services. The other plumbing services that I have used were shoddy at best and not very professional. This service is just what the doctor ordered. I will definitely use this service again. They were right on time and easy to schedule. They use the best quality parts that will last for years. If you need any plumbing done definitely give them a call and/or schedule through their website. Great people, great service, and the right price! Easy to schedule and prompt on time."

"Did a satisfactory job. I had had a backup. Primary problem diagnosed and treated. Made some suggestions about improving my basement drain as it appeared more problems which certainly might contribute to the backup I had. However, I did not follow those suggestions yet and have had no problems in the following 5 months or so. As I recall there was no scheduling or punctuality problem. <br />"

"Victor installed a 40 gallon gas water heater. Victor gave me options during the estimate. Victor installed the gas water heater the same day. Victor was very professional during the whole process. I will probably hire Perma-seal again If all employees at Perma-seal are like Victor."
