"I wish my first call had been to Eddie and Repair Tech Plus. He fixed my TV after another repair service told me the situation was hopeless if I didn't spend an unreasonable amount of money with them (after, of course, they'd missed their first appointment with me). The best part of dealing with Eddie instead was his professional and friendly approach; he was prompt, on-time, informative, and frank. He always returned phone calls as promised, showed up as agreed. As an authorized technician, he always called the TV company direct if there were any technical issues that needed dealing with. "We had a problem with a drain from a window well that would result in continuous flooding in our basement. We were finally able to fix the problem with the drain and hopefully prevent further flooding. So we contacted two businesses about mold remediation and removal of the damaged drywall and paneling. The first company, provided a good estimate but they were not as professional or reliable as we wanted. After searching online we were able to located American Home Services and then used Angie's List and saw they had great reviews. I immediately called them about receiving a free estimate and they offered to be out at my house the next day to give us an estimate. The President of the company was the person who came out to give us our estimate. He was able to explain everything that would need to be done a reasonable time frame (2 days). I received the completed estimate within 24 hours and scheduled the appointment shortly there after. American Home Services responded on time and placed plastic down in the hallway that leads to our basement to prevent any damage to our floors. My wife and I then waited as they worked for the day and after they completed the days work, they then showed us the basement and what they completed. Overnight they left a dehumidifier and other equipment to complete the work. The next day they came back and hand cleaned any spots that weren't completely cleaned within the first day's work. After they were done, I was then shown the basement and the work that was done. I then received a receipt for the services and a print out of all the work/chemicals that were used in the basement during the repair. American Home Services then provided us with a warranty to come back and fix any problems within the first year. Overall American Home Services is a great business that is willing to work with their clients and make sure that their needs and concerns are met.

"Oddly enough, it was when Home Services - VA was reporting to my home to complete a scheduled project that a crack in the casing around the bay window was identified.  Home Services - VA commented how easy the project would be to complete and recommended the work be corrected as soon as possible to minimize the water damage.

The project was completed in a day.  Home Services - VA arrived with all the equipment needed to remove the old material and repair the damage.  All damaged material was removed by Home Services - VA.  The project was conducted in the front of the townhome.  The project drew an audience and several neighbors enlisted Home Services - VA to get their bay windows repaired."

"The service provider was prompt,courteous and personable. Thoroughly explained what would be done to correct the leaky faucet. Was neat and clean in the work area and took care to ensure there were no gaps between the newly installed faucet and siding by applying additional chaulking. Entered the residence once to assess the scope of the repair and wore booties, without being prompted to do so, in order to protect my floors. I would use this company in the future and had such a positive experience with the assigned service technician, I would request him by name (Trai).

"Replaced kitchen cabinets, installed new appliances and quartz countertops with tile backsplash, tore down and rebuilt attached family room, added island to kitchen, replaced flooring with hardwood and upgraded electrical in both rooms, new lighting in family room, refinished wood floors in all downstairs rooms, upgraded electrical service to 200A, ran new circuit to garage. Work began immediately after Thanksgiving and most work completed and appliances installed Dec 23rd just in time for holidays. Work was done quickly, efficiently and professionally, trash constantly removed, foreman was always available and immediately responsive during this time. We were required to purchase new appliances ourselves which they installed, which we preferred. 1/3 payment required upfront, 1/3 when work started and the remainder when work was substantially completed and rooms livable (their definition). The contract allowed 10% of that final payment to be held back until all work listed and priced in the contract was completed. Although that seemed to be a lot to pay before work was completed, I correctly believed they could be trusted to complete the work quickly and properly. When mistakes were made which occasionally happened (e.g. a light wouldn't turn off and the range hood wouldn't vent), they returned immediately to correct the problem. All the contractors and subcontractors were professional, polite and helpful."
