"Called McCrea Friday morning to schedule for a service technician to come out that afternoon. Got a call around noontime from service technician Dwayne Myers to let me know he was on the way and would be there shortly. When Dwayne arrived he introduced himself and we then discussed the problem, after which he went into diagnostic mode explaining along the way everything that he was doing in checking for the problem. Once diagnosed he explained what was needed for repair and again informed me what he was doing in facilitating the repair. After the repairs were completed he did a thorough inspection of my system to ensure there were no other issues and it was blowing cold and working like new."

"I’m back again to write another stellar review for GAC. Last year they replaced our HVAC system; this year we circled back and had them install a home generator. This was a long and drawn out process due to the various approvals needed from Montgomery County as well as coordination with Washington Gas (which ended up not just being a simple sign off but necessitating an additional, expensive upgrade to the gas line from the street to our home). Nevertheless, GAC did a fantastic job shepherding this process over the 6+ months of waiting on stakeholders, and they were also maximally accommodating to our family’s significant constraints on time and availability (due to health concerns related to a medically fragile family member). A special kudos to Sandy M, GAC’s master electrician, who took it on personally to ensure we were taken care of all throughout this process, going above and beyond with phone calls, text messages, personal visits, etc. on behalf of my family, I want to thank GAC and am giving top marks across the board for this effort which was complex , lengthy, and ultimately successful."

"I have an annual contract with R.W. Harrell's Pump Service to clean and service the heating and A/C systems at my home. Their employees and always prompt, courteous and professional and ALWAYS do an excellent job with cleaning up before they leave. "I sincerely did not have a problem with the professional service per se, the technician was professional prompt on time, and knew what he was doing. On Dec 9, 2020, it took him about 30 minutes to figure out the problem and found the unit is still under warranty. He ordered the part and told me once the part is received, I will be contacted to schedule replacement. I called the office they did not call me. They were quick in responding and replaced the part on Dec 19. Cost is my main issue. They wanted $119.95 for diagnosis fees which WILL NOT be considered a part of the final repair fees. I believe it’s not a good business not to tell the client beforehand how much you will charge as service fees, they did not. Only after they diagnosed it. After a discussion with the technician, he talked to the office and the service fee was forfeited. The part replacement cost was $403! It took less than 30 minutes, 25 to be exact, to replace. Not sure how the rate of this charge is justified. I was told about the $403 charge right after the first visit but did not have a choice at that point. With all due respect, I understand, as explained to me, they have more overhead budget more than mom and pop shops. I still believe this total repair should not have been more than $250 at the most."

"Our furnace finally bit the dust after 25 years of faithful service. I had TriState do several small repairs and maintenance on it over the years, and they always did a good job. So, when the last service rep told me it was finally beyond repair, we consulted with Comfort Specialist, Darren, who isn't just a salesman, but previously installed and repaired HVAC systems. He took lots of measurements, inspected the old unit and the runs to the outside and upstairs. He took his time making calculations and offered us several options on a new system. TriState uses Daikin furnaces, which are rated in the top 5 furnaces for dependability and efficiency. The price, I thought, compared to my two other neighbors, who also recently purchased new systems, was even lower than I thought it going to be. In fact, my neighbors paid more (by thousands) and have a smaller square footage footprint than my house. We've had the unit now for over a month, and so far, it's great. It is a one-zone system, yet the upstairs will only vary by one or two degrees. This is much better than the old unit. We're hoping this small variance in temperature will also apply when the AC is on in the summer. The installers were very professional, arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. I would definitely use TriState again, and will rely on them whenever I need service."
