"As many of you know--finding a reputable home improvement company can be quite a challenge. We had some major projects to do in our yard and initially reached out to multiple companies requesting bids on building a 40 x 10 foot pergola, repairing a cedar fence and staining another major structure in our yard. Our experience in contacting home improvement companies was so disappointing. Inaccurate bids, no shows, and people showing up that presented themselves as home improvement companies but didn’t know what the heck they were doing. The only company that took the time to provide frequent consultation, accurate estimates, multiple visits to our property and consistent follow-up was Twin City Handyman! The entire staff was attentive to our needs and the projects were well done and completed on time. A big shout out to Darren, Kathy, Cory and Johnny and other staff members who assisted in completing our projects for their expertise and attention to detail. "SMS Construction hauled away my old crappy deck and and replaced it with a brand new cedar deck. This was a full service job done to perfection by SMS.  The materials arrived right on time, as did the dumpster to remove the remains of the old deck.  The crew worked very efficiently and did not leave a mess. Some rotten sheathing was discovered under the old ledger board and Scott sent me pictures from his phone which I immediately reviewed and authorized some additional work.  Additional cost for that was minimal and fair.  Final product is very good looking and I can tell that no corners were cut. Over-all a very good value and a carefree experience.

"Let me say, there are fencing companies, and then, there is Garden Structures & More.  You really cannot even begin to compare the two.  Hal is a top-notch craftsman from start to finish.  This was not a typical fencing job, where sections are brought in, posts are set into the ground and the sections attached to the posts.  This was an entirely different experience.  The fence was built on site, board by board.  The vertical boards in the lattice actually go all the way down to the bottom of the fence. Of course, doing it that way requires a bit of a mathematical genius, when you are dealing with different width boards in between the lattice boards-- especially when you get into the corners where sections need to be a different width from the standard size. I also realized how much care was taken in dealing with the slight level differences in my yard. Hal was careful to make adjustments when possible, so that the top line of the fence remained level, even though the ground did not.  It is sturdier than any fence I've ever seen, and the attention to detail is wonderful.  Every side of each board is routered to give it a softer edge.  The posts don't need a cap.  The tops are routered the same as the rest of the fence, and they look simple and clean, a lovely complement to the clean lines of the fence as a whole.  The double gate with arbor is really beautiful.  I'm not a fan of black hardware, and Hal supplied some beautiful stainless that looks so much nicer.  Hal started right on schedule, and ended exactly when he said he would.  And, he is very thoughtful.  Not only did he build me a beautiful fence, but he put up a bird feeder that I hadn't gotten around to doing myself, and even brought my garbage cans into the garage on garbage day!  In the days since the fence was completed, I have received many compliments on the fence and arbors from people walking by.  And, they have also commented on what a nice crew installed my fence-- that it seemed like a great group of guys.  I would use Garden Structures and More again, in a heartbeat.  It was a great experience!

"The primary reason for re-landscaping the front (north) side of our home was because we were getting water in our lower level with heavy rains.  Since we had to correct the water issue, we decided it was also a good opportunity to give the front of our home a fresh and updated look. Josh Knutson, the owner of Dakota Landscaping, was not only extremely helpful in designing a plan for us, he went the extra mile to work closely with the company that was re-paving our driveway to ensure that all the grading around the house and toward the driveway was correct to direct water away from the house.  Dakota's work was tested within days when the Twin Cities received record rainfalls over a 3-day period.  We didn't have a drop of water in our house!  The whole Dakota team was outstanding.  The employees worked hard, were conscientious, careful, courteous and when I asked for some changes, they didn't hesitate at all.  I liked that the owner worked right along with his team and that their goal was the same as mine - that the job was done right and that we were happy with the end result. I would definitely recommend Dakota Landscaping to others."

"I was very impressed with this company. The professionals who worked on it were wonderful. They were on time, they were clean and they  were personalble. The quality of the porch is also excellant and is all they told me it would be.
 I would encourage Clint to do a better job of communicating with customers once the job gets going but everytime I did talk to him , he was helpful and followed thru with what I needed.
  I particularly liked Scott  and Chris who both made sure all my needs were taken care of and everything was done well and completely.  All the guys who worked at my house were a pleasure to have around.

"I purchased the deal from Angie's list for driveway seal.
I tried to get in contact with the company for two weeks after that!!!
I called, left messages, sent messages through Angie's list website, nothing got their reply.
Then I called Angie's list asking for their advise. They reached the company and after couple of days me leaving voice messages, they called back and scheduled the seal.
People calling are very nice and very knowledgeable.
They came on the day they promised and sealed the driveway. 
Edges were cleaned and they did a very clean job, no over-spray on the concrete and grass.
However, they left grass in the cracks, they did not seal the cracks with different material like they supposed to. They did not seal the join between driveway and curb at all, and the seal was so thin that all the spots from original driveway bled through.
Also the adhesion was not appropriate at all. I waited 4 full days to drive on it, and still there are tire marks and many scuffs.
They advertise it as if they are using professional product like on parking lots, but it seams that they uses a very cheap product.
I tried calling the company to request a fix, but again - no calls or messages were returned.
I am glad Angie's list was decent enough to refund me the money!
