"We needed our entire roof replaced. The group of installers did an outstanding job. They were so efficient and thorough in all aspects including an immaculate clean up of the property afterwards. The lead for the crew, and the project manager were so personable and communicative!! Our roof looks great and we would absolutely recommend them to anyone that needs roofing work done on their structure."

"My patio project was started by my son-in-law. Unfortunately, because of health issues, he was not able to complete the project. I contacted J & S Masonry through Ange's List. They quickly responded to me. They came to my house to look the area over and we agreed on a cost. They came at the time they said they would and completed the patio in the amount of time they stated it would take. They are delightful people to deal with, and th equality of work is A+. "We had just purchased a house and wanted new patio in the backyard with a fire pit.  The guys from N&A responded very quickly to our phone call and gave us a fair priced estimate. During the work they were very professional, accommodating to our schedule and neat. The most important, though, the patio area turned out great and the fire pit is beautiful!!! We love the stone they recommended and very excited to have this great outdoor place. Would highly recommend!!! Im also doing paver driveway with them on spring time."

FAQs for brick or stone siding: install or completely replace projects in Harrison, ME

Yes, brick veneer is considerably more economical than full structural brick construction. The veneer materials cost between $3 and $11 per square foot, depending on the specific type selected. Installation is also less labor-intensive since veneer doesn't require the same structural considerations as load-bearing brick walls. This approach delivers the classic brick appearance without the full expense of traditional masonry construction.

When properly installed and maintained, brick veneer can last up to 50 years. Longevity depends largely on installation quality, regional climate conditions, and periodic maintenance such as mortar inspections. This impressive lifespan makes brick veneer a cost-effective choice despite a higher initial investment compared to some alternative siding materials that require more frequent replacement.

Brick veneer serves primarily as a decorative covering rather than a structural element. It doesn't provide the same thermal mass benefits as solid brick construction and requires careful moisture management to prevent potential water infiltration issues. While veneer offers excellent aesthetic appeal, it doesn't contribute to the structural integrity of your home in the way that traditional brick construction does.

The cost for partial installation depends entirely on the square footage of the area being covered. Using the same per-square-foot pricing, $3 to $20 including materials and labor, you can calculate costs by measuring your front facade. Many homeowners choose this approach to maximize visual impact while managing their budget effectively. This targeted application often creates dramatic curb appeal enhancement without the full expense of complete home coverage.
