The work did take a little while to get started but when the lead times for the materials was up, they came in swinging hammers and had the job got done quickly. My family and I love the work done. We are proud to finally show off our house interior. Nick and his crew went above and beyond with excellent final touches too. We shopped around chose Nick and he really came through on his promises. There were some delays of course, but only because of underlying issues like the rotten header that needed immediate attention. Going with this contractor will pay off in the end. "The six week project went very very well. They included EVERYTHING in the original bid (except things I added later. There were no surprises in the work they did. All three partners participated in different parts of the project as needed. They were always timely, kept me informed as much as reasonably possible. Someone described them as "anal" in their attention to detail. That should be considered a compliment! I watched various times. The discovered that the ceiling heights differed in different parts of three rooms. They also found one floor joist that was wrong. They used their laser level to add 2x4s above and to adjust the floor so the new cabinets would fit exactly. When the new cabinets arrived they took the time to make certain that every one was vertically and horizontally level. That meant that the granite counter top measurement was effortless. It also means the countertops are now level! One sub-contractor was problematical but Dwelling minimized the impact and we reached an amicable agreement. <br /> Several people said the project would not be completed on time (it was -- except for my additions) and on budget (it was -- except for my additions). Even the additional items were performed on or ahead of the schedule they estimated. <br /> They minimized the construction "dust" and cleaned up the work area everyday. <br /> I have had visitors who have said: "You have a new house" and they are correct. "Total attempted to repair the unit initially, and found that the problem was the valve mentioned above.  They offered to take the price of the first attempt off the total cost of the repair.  They also told us they had replaced at least 10 other units in our building, and that each was custom made and would take 6-8 weeks to obtain.  We sought two other estimates.  One company never responded.  The other sent an estimator who never opened the unit to confirm what was wrong, and subsequently provided a written estimate a few hundred dollars higher than the first estimate, and with the same 6-8 week lead time.  I then asked the second company whether they honored the 10% Angie's List coupon.  The estimator said her original estimate includes a 5% discount, so she would take an additional 5% off once I mentioned Angie's List.  This struck me as reducing the value of the Angie's List coupon to 5%.  We therefore chose the first company and ordered the unit.  The unit arrived right within the time period estimated, and we scheduled installation a few days later.  The installer arrived right on time, and had the unit installed within an hour.  It immediately began producing much cooler air but, since the outside temperature was about 70 degrees, we couldn't give the heat a good test.  Our tenants will report on how the heater works as soon as it gets a bit colder outside, and the installer gave me a card and told me to contact him with any questions.  The price was exactly as quoted, including a credit for the cost of the initial repair visit. <br />"
