Both were tricky operations involving the plumbing of an old beach house, and they came up with effective ways of dealing with every issue. The hot water heater install involved moving an old hot water heater out of a crawlspace and putting a new one in in a closet, and the plumbing lines were a bit wacky due to the way the cottage had been added onto over time. But they solved the problems without tearing out any walls, which was great. The other job involved a DIY project installing a bathroom vanity that we got halfway through before realizing we were over our heads. "Kurt arrived on time.  He inspected the area and used a moisture meter to check the walls around the shower.  He did not detect any levels of moisture high enough to promote mold growth.  He then went downstairs and checked the area beneath the shower with the same results.  Kurt was very honest and professional.  Instead of trying to sell us on expensive air quality testing he presented us with several options and gave us his professional opinion. Based on his opinion, we chose not to have any additional work done.  We were very impressed with Kurt.  He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.  If we ever need a mold remediation company, our first call will certainly be to American Home Services.

"I had requested estimates from several companies on having a disposal repaired or replaced, but only Jiffy replied, and they did so almost immediately. They scheduled to come at the first time I was free. I received a phone call when the mechanics were on the way to my house and they were on time. Since I had given them the type of disposal that was currently installed, they brought a replacement with them, so although this was an estimate appointment, they were able to go ahead and install it, which they did. They were very polite and answered my questions. Based on what I paid 10 years ago to have the prior one installed, I'd say this was a little pricey, but it's working fine, and I'm very glad to have it taken care of."

"Jerry's Plumbing & Heating (Jerry's) was the assigned plumbing contractor in a home warranty plan that I've had for years.  I've used Jerry's in the past for small repairs but nothing of this magnitude or complexity.
Over the weekend of December 13-14, I suspected that my well pump had failed (no water) and made the necessary phone contacts.  Jerry's representatives were at the house Monday, December 15, in the mid-afternoon.  After they confirmed that the pump had indeed failed, they explained what they needed to do and we subsequently agreed to contract terms.  Jerry's people then returned to their shop to get the necessary repair parts. Once they had the parts, the on-site job supervisor, Doug LNU, said we'd have water before they left that evening.  Jerry's people got started late Monday afternoon and worked until nearly 12:00 midnight the same day.  As Doug had earlier represented, "we had water before they left."
When I was younger, I worked in a construction trade.  In the intervening years, my wife and I have owned a no. of homes.  Without reservation, I can say that I've seen few companies or their people work as hard or diligently the way these guys did either making repairs e.g., replacing a roof or installing an HVAC system.  Based on the experience that I had with Jerry's, I would recommend them w/o reservation.
