"John is the best! I think he loves the challenge of doing a job right and will not stop till he figures out what that takes. We had old and rotted windows and door leak issues on a 27-year-old house -- John figured out the best way to replace and repair them, and then got everything installed and repaired perfectly. Second time we have worked with John, and we would go to him first for any subsequent work. Very highly recommended."

"Knowledgable Company Representatives visited me on five separate occasions, at no cost to me, in order to solve several complex problems associated with my requirements. They also prepared comprehensive Materials Lists, including sources, to minimize my costs. This required substantial time and effort on their part. They also accompanied me and represented me during several visits to the State Inspectors. <br /> The Contractor and I had a signed Contract and a Start Date of mid-November for the Project. <br /> Unfortunately, after all of this effort, the Inspector presented a "Load and Lift" objection that made it impossible for me to proceed because of dramatically increased costs. The Contractor and I disagree with the Inspector's decision. Accordingly, I am in the process of hiring a Structural Engineer to determine if a cost-effective Engineering Plan can be developed to deal with the Inspector's issues. <br /> In my opinion, BP Trades and Professional Services is an OUTSTANDING company in every aspect. If I get a farorable outcome from the Engineer, I intend to execute our contract and proceed. <br /> I will most certainly use them for any future Projects that fit their capabilities, and I would highly recommend them to everyone. <br /> Terry Wise, LCDR (LDO), USN, Ret. <br />"

"These guys did an awesome job!  I was a little nervous about letting them in my house while I was at work but they came highly recommened from friends and I really wanted to get this stuff done. They started with wrapping the outside of the house and then cut down some trees out back. Then I had them give me an estimate on some tile for the hallway and kitchen. It just kept going from there. They were here working on and off for a few months."

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Hertford, NC

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
