"Over this past summer, we contracted Rapid Restoration & Construction to do some home renovations for us. This included the installation of new LVT flooring planks over our existing tile, the replacement of new baseboards, updating our outdated oak & carpet staircase, a new shower installation and the painting of cabinets and doors. We are very pleased with the job Rapid Restoration has done and have received many compliments on the updated home renovations. Due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control, however, the job took a little longer than initially anticipated, but the owner, Dave, was dedicated to getting everything completed within our designated time frame. As with any extensive remodeling project there were unexpected / unforeseen issues. All of these issues were examined, explained, and options provided and were covered by our contingency funds. There were also several recommendations for improvements that were explored, accepted, and the budget was modified accordingly. "My sister and I purchased a 5 BDRM/3BTRM home. I've never hired contractors before to do any type of remodeling. I was concerned if I'd find the right contractor that would meet my needs. From my 1st appointment with Raul & Taylor, it was clear they'd listen to what I wanted done. They even took the time to answer my questions & concerns. I need to open a couple of walls, wall up unnecessary extra doorways, & turn a bathroom tub into a walk-in shower with a seat. We found a walk-in shower kit called, Tuscany Freedom Grand with glass doors from Home Depot that we all (Taylor/Raul, & myself) thought this would be a good fit for the size space we had to work with. Kit is ordered online. Construction day: Raul & Taylor, had every requested wall, doorway, & bathtub removed. They worked from sunup to a bit passed dinner hours to get this phase of construction done. Next day same efficient work ethics with wall reconstruction, texturing, & painting. They even painted over areas that needed it from previous owners. The shower kit finally arrives at Home Depot, Raul & Jaun (plumber) were kind enough to pick up the kit for delivery to the house. NOW this is how you know you have a good contractor. They get started on the insulation. About an hour into them working I receive call. Raul says, "we have to stop what we're doing. The shower pan is good. We have it installed. The rest of whole entire kit is to be installed with silicone. I can install this kit for you, but the shower will need to be redone in 2yrs. I won't be able to warranty this work because if it. I can't do that and feel good about it later." Well now we just spent 3.1k on kit that. So now what? Raul & myself decided to go with cement backer board and tile. My sister & I purchase the tile and items needed. We managed to use some of the home depot kit (seat, corner pieces for soap/step to incorporate into the new updated walk-in shower design. Raymond is their tile contractor and does excellent work. He had the tiling done within 2 days. During this time Raul and Taylor were able to come back with a reduced payment of 2k. That helped a lot since 3/4s of the unused shower kit was sitting in a corner of the bathroom. Those beautiful and heavy shower doors couldn't be installed either due to the layout of a pocket door right behind the shower wall. This kit was a lesson for all involved, right down to the installation video. Now, with all remodels, touch ups need to be done. I sent in my concerns on the shower tile grouting needing touched up & a bit more paint too. Raul and Raymond were out the very next day to complete all touch ups. During all this work being performed. Everything was cleaned up after every workday. I'm looking forward to doing my future remodel projects with Precision BluePrint Development again"
