"The master of the dishonest upsell! I have had 4 interactions with this company and the most recent left me shaking with anger. At least the first 3 times they sent someone out they were friendly and lied through their teeth. Jeff Sxxxxxx was nasty, aggressive, and unprofessional. He took everything personal and would not repair a part broken by a previous employee of auchinachie because how is that fair to me? He would not honor the warranty I was promised because apparently the previous plumber had been lying about that. He made me feel unsafe, taken advantage of and like a fool for ever trusting them. Every other interaction has been one of constantly adding money to the bill with no warning and so they were kind. When I finally asked them to honor their commitments, I was told he was there to help me but was not going to help if I had an attitude about it."

"I had an excellent experience with Southern Tier Tech, LLC. Not only was Jim extremely responsive to my service request, arriving early to the appointment to asses my situation, ( a very stressful one as Nyseg had tagged my water heater as not being vented properly and had shut off my gas), he was able to give me a few options that would work ideally for me, and to my great relief was able to schedule my job, (a replacement, relocated water heater, properly vented as per Nyseg),the very next day. Jim was very professional, knowledgable and friendly. He even went above and beyond by contacting Nyseg for their necessary sign off on his work, and I was back online in just a few hours. I highly recommend Southern Tier Tech, LLC."

"Project was said to take 3 weeks but between personal problems with eviction, moving, his crew getting locked up, dental work, no gas, bla-bla-bla, it took extremely longer to get moving. I'm sure u get the idea that project was not completed in a timely manner and should never have been dragged out for months. My recommendation is to make sure you get a time line in writing and add a default clause into the contact to be on the safe side if your decide to use this guy. In my opinion, this business operator took on more than he could handle and failed to deliver. Worst experience I ever had. Phil has terrible time management skills in additional to poor money management problems. Use caution if u decide to deal with him and his wife, Marcella. Business owners should not have their personal problems impacting their clients. That is your bread and butter, after all. Plus the fact that is not professional. They take very little responsibility for there shortcomings. His poor shabby work actually created more problems with leaks due to roofing materials not put down or fastened properly; unbelievable. In addition, the job site was not kept safe and secure with children present all summer; hazards that even involved a close mishap with his own son on a ladder. Consider this experience when considering this business for your job. Just want to warn others before they are faced with similar problems."
