"I should point out that I am a very analytic perfectionist engineering type. <br /> We gave them a rough sketch of what we wanted: three individual pieces, that would connect together along one long wall in our living room. I met with Rodrigo 3 or 4 times leading up to the delivery and installation of the furniture. RBF Design was very flexible and professional in dealing with our requests. Originally we had intended to have one section support dog crates for our multiple dogs to sleep in overnight. We since have relocated where the dogs sleep to another room, so we changed this piece to be more storage drawers. Rodrigo understood very well what we were looking for, and delivered exactly what we needed. He also worked extra hard in refinishing the seams of the interconnecting pieces. This issue was caused by the carpet padding in our living room and quot;bow-ingand quot; the furniture. Had we had a perfectly flat floor the pieces would have aligned without any additional work. <br /> The center section hides all our home theater audio/video equipment very well, and allows us to enjoy watching tv or movies without staring at all sorts of blinking lights. I had RBF Design built covers to hide the left, center and right speakers, and leave a rear opening for the sub-woofer speaker. <br /> On all the drawers, the self closing hardware works very well, and all seams line up very well. RBF Design installed our drawer and door handles onsite when they delivered the furniture. <br /> We highly recommend RBF Design and now are dreaming up our next custom furniture project now we know how capable they are. <br /> <br />"

"All of the fabrics were Scottish Tartan wool, with very specific patterns. It was important to me that the finished products meet my expectations as to placement of the tartan patterns. Burke did an excellent job. <br /> They also repaired the game chair seats, to make them strong and usable (with out me having to ask them.) They did the right thing because in their experience the existing seats on the antique chairs were to weak to use. I was very pleased with this. <br /> The occasional chair was a work of art. with back, in and out side, pillows and arm rest all upholstered in a bright tartan fabric, and out of place or off center patterning would have ruined the look. They matched the pattern of the fabric perfectly. <br /> I found them easy to work with, extremely fast and very reasonable in cost. I could not be more pleased with the work they have done. <br /> I will recommend them to my friends, and use them again when I need work done. <br /> <br />"

"Overall, excellent. We are delighted with our new closets. From my pre-research standpoint, we learned (and liked) that Spaceman 1) got a lot of really good reviews on Angie's List; 2) has a showroom (since 2007) off of W. T.C. Jester which is opens on Saturdays (and located right by Karbach Brewery which also serves lunch- a plus!); 3) offers free in-home consultation; 4) does not use subcontractors; 5) has a lifetime, transferable guarantee; 6) has been in business since 1998; 6) manufactures all of their product in Houston; 7) accepts Visa, MC, Amex and checks; 8) has a partnership with David Weekley homes and several other quality home builders; 9) has been on Angie's List since 2009. We also liked that their projects, based on Angie's List, have a spread from $500 to $10,000, so a wide range leading us to believe that no project is too small. At the showroom, Hilary, who was our salesperson, was very helpful explaining in detail the products Spaceman offers. We liked that their take-home packet had lots of referrals by ZIP CODE so, if you wanted, you could contact someone in your area to find out about their experience. Hilary was also the one who came out to our house to do the measurements. Michele was the scheduler and kept us very informed. From the on-site installation experience, we had a couple of hiccups along the way (one being my fault), but everything was resolved to our complete satisfaction. David, the owner, personally called us, and that meant a LOT to know that the owner gets involved to make sure everyone is happy. The installers were all great -professional, polite, skilled, hard working. It should be noted that we had to coordinate our demolition crew (to remove the old closet organizers, expand one of the closets, sheet rock and paint), then Spaceman to install the closet organizers, and finally the Sliding Door Company to install our sliding doors."

"Great. Ordering was easy. The company sent me all the materials necessary to order the custom sized table pads. Although they said it would take 6-8 weeks, I received the table pads within 2 weeks. Unfortunately, they were the wrong size, so I called them. I was very pleased to find out that the woman who answered the phone very readily acknowledged that there had been a mistake. She quickly corrected it and I had the correct table pads within 10 days. Great customer service."
