"Chris and Mike did an excellent job! Our sidewalk was sinking 2-3 inches in spots. They explained exactly how the process works. Started the job on time and was very professional. I'm impressed with how well it turned out. Our sidewalk is now level. Thank you!"

"These guys were great! They were friendly and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. They looked at my steps and didn't exaggerate the problem. I was told what needed to be done and that they were going to drill a few holes to inject the limestone grout, and then did exactly what they said they were going to do. I did call around to get quotes from other companies and was quoted $3000 as a starting point. I paid a fraction of that cost and got my money's worth. If you are ever in need of concrete repair, call these guys! I'm glad I did."

"On July 1st (2021), Mel and Stephan from Innovative Basement Authority dug a 30'x18" trench by hand to bury our sump pump discharge pipe. They installed a freeze valve, 30' of 5" PVC, and a discharge grate, exactly where we asked to place it. They had to dig right next to the garage foundation, so this was no easy feat. They also made short work of removing a 4'x4' concrete pad for us. The guys were very courteous, punctual, and seriously hard-working. They did an exceptional job, and in just half a day, I was able to check 1 more item off my honey-do list! We are hoping to hire Innovative Basement Authority for some garage floor concrete work in the near future. Thanks IBA! Brian & Terri MacDonald"

"Don't need to know anything. The workmen will answer any questions eagerly. My project was not major (level my personal front sidewalk from the City's to my door) and only took 1 hour. These guys said they can work several projects a day, but some things like lifting and doing substantial things like driveways will take most of the day."

"Great! The 3 guys were professional and knew what they were doing! They worked together from the beginning to the end. They did a great job and saved us a lot of money we didn’t have by repairing the step and sidewalk instead of replacing it all! Sue at able was the best customer service ever! She kept in contact with me and called me the day they were coming, she was great help! They cleaned up after you didn’t even know they were there! Thank you so much able concrete, an he 3 musketeers who saved my day!,"

"It went great. Wonderful communication on date and time they could accommodate us. The job was done top notch, the sidewalk and steps are great and it’s a pleasure to drive into the garage without having an issue with the sunken apron. I did have one question which was the holes they drilled to raise the areas are quite dark and I was it sure if they would “cure” to a lighter color or not. Greg was quick to respond to my question with a “usually they do”. They also caulked the gaps."

"Don was punctual on both his estimate and service visit. Don explained to me how the process worked and the types of materials used. It is an impressive thing to watch them drill through 6+" of poured concrete. They raised concrete in 3 separate areas, including some spots where they had raised it 2+". (I think they might have quoted me for only 2 areas, so I was grateful they kept the same price from the estimate). The drill holes were neatly filled in and blend well with the existing concrete. They also showed and explained where grass had taken over a portion of the patio, which helped contribute to it sagging. I have since corrected that based on their recommendation. There were a few spots I had to wipe down afterwards where the mix splattered onto siding and some patio furniture I placed in the backyard, but this was a minimal amount of cleanup. Overall a great experience and I would contact Don again in the future."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Howard Lake, MN

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
