"Ben was fantastic. It's so hard to find someone this knowledgeable and willing to get right to the problem and fix it. We have a very old home that has a complex setup and that didn't worry Ben at all. He was able to rapidly diagnose issues, even beyond our original service call. His years of experience were obvious and we will certainly be using his services again!"

"Ruben was a delight to work with, he let me watch and help (mostly hold things in place while he assembled) without seeming to be annoyed. The HVAC replacement project went well and and was completed in one day with precision. Since he let me observe, he explained each step in the process so that it will be easier for me to maintain the new system. Along with the top tier service, his price was was thousands of dollars less than other bids I received. I'd give Ruben six stars if I could."

"Had a great experience with the AC installation. The team arrived on time, explained everything clearly, and completed the install professionally. They were respectful of the home, cleaned up afterward, and made sure the system was running perfectly before leaving. The new AC cools efficiently and runs quietly. Highly recommend their service for anyone needing HVAC work done."

"Air conditioner wasn't working. Didn't come on. Our technician determined the problem was the thermostat and also determined that the service was covered under the warranty when I got out my service history and invoices for the central air and furnace. He was polite, knowledgeable, and a real professional."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Hudson, CO

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
