Initially thought it was an OS update issue but the hard drive had failed along with other components (including 'CPU). Because other components were involved, a new solid state hard drive was put into a laptop with a working processor - same type CPU as in the failed unit. The laptop was repaired and returned in less than a week. This company picked up and dropped off the laptop (driving from Huntsville, AL (about 60-70 minutes)-- great service in this covid environment. "Last year, in the heat of the summer, our a/c unit started blowing warm. I had refrigerant added, but it only lasted a few weeks before blowing warm again. So I got a couple of different quotes for repair. Most of the companies told me that I needed to replace my entire a/c unit, at a cost of about $5 - $6,000. Joey, with Red Stick Air, came in with a tool and located the leak. It was the coil in the attic, and I could see right away that it was rusted and in bad shape. Joey let us know that we could replace the coil only and stop the leak. He said that while the system is old (about 10 years), the coil is usually what leaks first due to the moisture in it's environment causing rust. With a new coil, we might get some more years out of the unit. We got a coil instead a new unit, saved thousands, and it's been working for about 10 months now. I really appreciate someone taking the time to explain what was happening, and let me make a decision about repairing the leak, versus being given a blanket quote by someone that just says "recommend replacement.""

"I called because our furnace fan on one side was not working. Someone came out that day (even though it wasn't necessary because it was a pretty warm day). The tech found the problem, ordered the part and came back as soon as it was available. Besides the good service, I had another issue. I usually purchase an annual maintenance agreement from TMI and this year, either forgot or didn't get a reminder, so I didn't have the agreement, which allows for a discount on any parts, as well as tune up service twice a year. The Company allowed me to purchase the agreements retroactive and applied the discount on the part needed to fix the furnace. Nice thing to do...
