Billy took switch plate covers to the paint supplier to get a match. It also included painting new wood trim around a recently replaced patio door. "From the day Mac came to our house to explain options and clarify the process and price, we were sold and convinced that using All-Weather Seal was the best option to meet our needs.  Even after the initial order we requested a few minor changes and he was very accommodating.  In fact, as we placed the order over Labor Day Weekend, he even came to my work place to pick up the check we made and finish all details for the order.  After we finished the order when we finalized changes, Mac came back to my office to sign the contract again with requested changes.  He always accommodated our needs and our work and after-work schedules of my wife and me.  Just about the time we were going to call All-Weather Seal about the installation of the windows, sure enough Mac called again and let me know I would  be hearing from the installers about setting up a date/day/time to do the work.  One of the staff came to do one final measurement of all the windows and within a few days the installers came to our home on a Saturday to remove our old windows and install the new ones.  They were on time and prompt in their arrival.  They were respectful of our home and took care to make sure everything was done properly with the installation throughout the day.  As they worked they cleaned up what was not needed any more, then left the area in front of our home spotless as if they had never been there and the new windows had always been in place.  We were totally impressed with the entire process, the price and the work ethic, honesty and workmanship of all involved.  While we did not have a budget to do ALL the windows at this time for our entire house, we would contact All-Weather Seal in a minute if and when we are interested or able to install other windows or doors in our home.

Brick Preservation came highly recommended from a close family friend. They exceeded all expectations from the initial phone call to the completion of the work. 1 month after the job was completed I even received a follow up call to ensure that I was satisfied with the job.

The work crew was led by James himself. It was completed 2 days prior to his original estimate and the cost was just under the original quote.

The new mortar color and texture was a perfect match to the original from 1957. He was even able to reuse some of the original brick and match the replacement brick perfectly.

The work was performed safely and the crew was very professional at all times while they were at my home. The work area was kept neat while the work was performed and was spotless when he finished. (This was important to me because I have 3 young children and a large dog)

I would strongly recommend Brick Preservation to anyone who needs repair or replacement of original brick and mortar.

"48Jewel Construction and remodeling had to gut and redo my fathers entire bathroom.  The floor was rotted out due to poor seal on the toilet and over years of not being fixed.  They put a sub flooring down and a new tiles down.  They also installed all new plumbing, fixtures and tub, toilet and sink finishing with fresh paint and new lighting.  What a wonderful job they did.  My father was very pleased with the work.

"The whole experience was kind of okay but nothing extraordinary or stellar. I had 3 other quotes from other companies and I think that extra thousand or fifteen hundred that those guys were charging might have been worth it for me from the execution point of view, the finishing point of view, and from some of the detail point of view. I think I got what I paid for. I went with the cheapest quote but I got the service that goes with that kind of price. I would recommend them to someone but be aware and do your own homework and don?t go on my comments because like I said, it was ?so so?. The lack of detail left a bad taste. There is a whole bunch of shingles that got paint speckled on them that you can?t wash off. None of the paint types were discussed. As a professional painter, they should have given us help and pros and cons on paint types. The paint was a completely different shade that we wanted. Deal with them with your own knowledge."

"Vast majority of the work performed is satisfactory, and the attitude of the crew (2 men) was pleasant enough during work.
But there are three (3) areas that has negative impact on our overall experience:
1. Underestimated cost by $950; the final cost would have impacted our decision on whom to hire.
2. The repaired window frame is not acceptable to us: it is too wide, covers substantial amount of glass, and from inside, unfinished  wood, paint and glue stains are clearly visible. When shown that, initially offered $200 refund, then immediately reneged on it. Told us the window is right over the roof, anyway; I guess implying the job does not have to be done right, in fact making me feel that I am unreasonable in my request. The window remains an eye sore, but we'd rather find somebody else to redo it right.
3. Although not our major complaint, left pieces of rotten wood, old cauking and quite few nails under the work areas and on the roof. On the positive side, I can (and did) use those nails on my DIY projects.
We had hoped to have them do 2 or 3 major work inside and outside the house, but now we are looking somewhere else. Member response: Please note that the provider did not question, correct, explain or comment on the negative points in my review, but instead engaged in "typical" character assassination. I am not going to comment on “difficult customer”; it is his word against mine, although I thought at that time we had quite friendly relationship. However, concerning “hard to set up times “to do the work: ALL the work was OUTSIDE: I did not HAVE TO be home for the provider to do his job. In addition, my wife is a homemaker, ALWAYS home during the day. I am still finding shortcomings in his work: couple weeks ago the downspout next to both 1-st and 2-nd story window came loose, and, equally no more surprising, it exposed a wide and long gap in need of caulking that the provider failed to do. With all the experience since my last review, I am considering changing my rating of Home Aide to D."
