"We were quite pleased with the work performed. Prior to starting the project, the scope of the work, with discussion of the many options involving construction and design, was very carefully reviewed. Santos offered good ideas when requested The general construction and tile work were excellent. The tile patterns were laid out and carefully aligned. The grout and caulk were applied and smoothed very neatly. Plumbing and new fixtures were properly installed. The shower floor and ledges have the proper slant. The work crew arrived on time and took care to clean at the end of each day. After the job was completed, we found a couple minor items that needed to be corrected. Santos responded immediately to our request and returned right away to fix them with a cheerful attitude. We definitely will hire him again for any future construction project."

"Garth did a great job - as usual! We had some pet stains that Garth was able to remove and the carpets look good. We have used Garth (Clean Concepts) for the past few years. We are repeat customers because he's responsive, does a good job and we feel his pricing and quality is better than "franchise" carpet cleaners."

"I'm a big believer in shopping local and using local contractors whenever possible. So I was thrilled to find a guy with an A rating and 125 mostly excellent reviews who lived five minutes away! I'm so happy with the job John did cleaning, re-grouting, and sealing our shower floor--it looks brand new! He also replaced a well-worn drain cover at the completion of the project. He was hard to pin down to start the job--but usually that's what happens when people are good at what they do and their services are in demand! The price was fair, and the work was completed in less than a day! I'd use him again for tile work and recommend his services to others."

"The deal said it was 50% off and that did not hold true their sale price is higher then most peoples regular price. They were very nice people to deal with I just had an issue with their "sale" price and found a better deal else where."

"Kevin and his helper Alberto were very professional and courteous. They were neat, organized and cleaned up after themselves. Kevin took his time to make sure the design was symmetrical. He always stayed in communication with me by text or phone throughout the entire process. He worked with my own carpenter and plumber to coordinate the drain installation and the toiletry niche construction. At one point, he did an errand for me and picked up an extra slab of Carrera marble at Avalon Tile and I was impressed by his customer service. Kevin was the most expensive estimate I received, but I was willing to pay the extra money because I believed I was in good hands. As with most construction projects, we hit a few road bumps. Our first problem occurred with the 12x12 Carrera marble floor tiles in the master bathroom. They had to rip out the brand new marble tile and the mud floor right after it was completed because the tile pattern was erratic and aesthetically unappealing. After the fact, other tile professionals informed me that a dry layout is always necessary when installing marble tiles due to their natural variations. So I was upset that I paid approximately $2600 in additional material and labor to make it right. I should not have assumed that responsibility 100%. The second time around they did a dry layout of the floor tile and the results were phenomenal. It was a beautiful flow of marble variations. Kevin and Alberto installed 3x6 subway tile in my hall bathroom. Most of the cuts had small chips on the edges and they stood out to me because the denim color of the tile was only on the surface. I have a discerning eye and some of the cuts were directly at eye level. Kevin said that he felt it was acceptable to see chips with ceramic colored tile, but I did not agree. I am pretty particular about workmanship with high expectations. I don't expect perfection, but I am looking for something close to that. Plus, my mother owned a tile store for 7 years so I knew how it should look. I did not want him to rip out every chipped tile because I was concerned about further damage so I only focused on the cuts that were at eye level. He polished all of the edges of the new cut tiles and they met my original expectations. When Kevin installed the marble tile in my master bathroom, he was on board about polishing the edges so the tile work came out stunning! However, I wasn't happy when he asked me for another $600 to cover the cost of the additional time he spent to polish each tile. In the end, we settled on $300 to keep things peaceful but I felt I shouldn't have to pay extra for a straight edge without chips. While this road bump was a little frustrating for me, I will say that Kevin was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. He listened to my concerns and he wanted to make it right. Customer satisfaction is one of his top priorities. When Kevin installed the Carrera marble mosaic floor in the hall bathroom, his helper Alberto used the sanded Power grout that the tile store sold to me. We were under the impression that Power grout won't scratch the marble, but that was not correct. There were scratches all over my brand new floor. Again, Kevin wanted to make it right and he hired someone to restore the floor and buff the surface. It wasn't quite polished at first so he asked the guy to come back and polish it. In the end, it wasn't the same as a factory finished marble floor polish but I appreciated that Kevin wanted to correct the mistake. These kinds of things happen during construction projects and the sign of a good businessman is someone who wants to make the customer happy. I think it is also important to point out that Kevin came back to my house when the entire project was complete to correct any minor issues after I had already paid him!! I love when contractors continue to offer great service after the job is complete and after they are paid. What great service! At the end of the project, I was left with over $300 of special order tile that I could not return because Kevin's square footage measurements were higher than actual. I wanted a few extra tiles leftover, but not several boxes. Just double check your square footage on your own to make sure you are not over ordering. Kevin and Alberto also installed the Calacatta Gold marble around my fireplace. He had the patience to work with my carpenter on this project and he did a dry layout of the marble sheets. The tile work is gorgeous! The fireplace is so beautiful! It is one of my favorite things in my home. In summary, when guests visit my home they think my bathrooms look beautiful! So, if you ask Kevin up front to polish the edges of the tiles, to do a dry layout of your marble installation and then double check your square footage for tile orders - you will be in good hands."

"We had him do tile work for us in the past and have hired him a second time to re-tile our second bathroom.  The quality of his work is great and the people he works with do a very nice job as well.  He always cleans up after job completion and is very knowledgeable in his workmanship.  I would highly recommend his services to others."

"We absolutely LOVE the outcome of the work they did for us. I describe the finish job as superior. My wife and I needed some painting work and I was going to do it my self as I know my way around painting, but I am very happy I listened to her and hired them instead. These guys are master painters, they do the best prep work ever, their cuts are perfect and they work super clean. They covered the floors and the furniture and did not leave any mess behind. Give them a call if you are looking for high end results at your house."

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Kennett Square, PA

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
