"Guy named mike from Easy appliance repair came out n checked my fridge! He said he needed $300 up front to order the board to fix it! I gave him $300 cash! He left before giving me a receipt! For weeks he kept saying the part was lost in shipping n they were looking into it! Then last week he tried to say he wasn't the one who came to my house n took my money! Its the same phone# all the messages between us the day he came n of him telling me the part was Iost. All messages are on my project page and saved on my phone! The guy new I'm disabled n had to save that money up! He left before he gave me a receipt because he had no intentions of ordering the part! He came to my house n took My money n then he never came back! Now im out $300 n i still have a tore up fridge in my kitchen!. I don't think u can get any lower than screwn over a disabled female who lives alone after losen my husband to suicide! I may not have a receit but i do have all the messages between us! He told me the part was lost in shipping for over 2 weeks!"

Tom advised me to consider the value of repairing, parts costs and time required, vs. a new purchase and the effort to repair was not going to be simple. We chatted about the pros/cons a lot. "We called Mr Appliance in June to help with a smell in our dishwasher. At that time the tech told us he found what he thought was the source and remedied it. He also informed us that if the smell comes back within a year it would be covered under warranty. Fast forward 3 months later, the smell is back. When we called to ask about a followup visit they proceeded to say it was not covered under warranty and charged us another $140 to come out for diagnostics... okay, cheaper than a new dishwasher, please come out. On scene the new tech tells us he cannot find anything wrong. Proceeds to tell my wife to clean it more often then charges us another $50 for customer consult. $190 later we're in the same spot + a HUGE scratch on our hardwood floors. Would not recommend. I am in the process of following up for refund of the $50. 😡"
