 Getting a quote for the job was very straight-forward with JM Plumbing & Mechanical.  I sent a message to JM Plumbing and Mechanical through Angie's List message feature.  I described the 3 problems and received a prompt response with a quote of $350.  Jerry and TJ arrived ahead of the scheduled time, and got right down to business.  They let me know the sequence they would be working on the issues and immediately shut off the water and got to work.  After the work started, I mentioned another problem with the water running in the toilet and Jerry said he would look at that as well.  They were prepared with the parts they needed for the initial repair requests, but needed additional parts for the toilet repair so went to Home Depot to get those and then returned and completed the shower handle, toilet repair, and outside faucet repair very quickly.  Then TJ got under the house, found the leaky pipe and caulked that.  That job alone was a big relief to get taken care of.  Considering the crawlspace under this house, I had no idea how much something like this would cost to have fixed, but it was completed by TJ like it was no big deal.  Before leaving, two more issues came up unrelated to my original request.  Jerry was very sincere in offering to check those out as well and did so in a matter of minutes.  I could not be more satisfied with the value I received for $350 and would definitely use this company again.

"Paul is a peach. He’s patient and friendly and goes to great lengths to explain what is going on behind the walls and under the sidewalk. He takes what he does very seriously and keeps up with modern technology, which isn’t easy for smaller contractors. At all times it was obvious to me that he had our best in mind. He assessed our situation quickly and didn’t hold us up, getting permits or other paperwork , he got that all done without a hitch. Also The workers he hired to help him were all perfect gentlemen as well, And we enjoyed having them all here. Best plumber in the state!"

"I called Hagee this morning at 815 am and at 2.30 the same afternoon the sink is working, the clog gone, and the kitchen is all cleaned up.  Caleb did an amazing job fixing everything up, plus he cleaned up the space and corrected my husband's slight plumbing error.   Caleb let me know he was on his way, and then left me with his business card should we need anything else.

He highly recommended the hydro clean, and I am planning to schedule that sooner rather than later.  Everyone I spoke with at Hagee was fabulous.  Thank you Caleb and Hagee team.

"Kairos is owned and run by women which we appreciated when we worked with them as two women.  They were punctual, and communicative, and also just great people that I was happy and comfortable with having in my home.  All of the staff are experts in many skills, and they have extended experts- i.e. a journeyman electrician- on staff to help/consult if they run in to anything hairy at your hours- ours is old, and of course this happened.  They also educated me so that in the future I could do a lot of these jobs myself, or even related jobs based on the same skills.  When we ran in to things, I never felt like they were short cutting, or anything that would compromise the quality of the work, and rather that they were going out of their way to make sure that the work was done in a way that they would want done in their own homes.  I'd definitely use them again, and I know it'd be a great job, with some great women.

"When giving me a quote, I told Ron that I had rec'd a quote for $35,000 just to remove the walls. I believe that person just didn't want the job for wahtever reason -- but Ron came along and when I said "I had a dream for my kitchen that included removing the walls, etc.," and he said he could make my dream come true. Where once there was no space, we have made a comfortable way to seat 14 people. Where we once had a kid's table, we have an adults bar area.... except, lo and behold, the kids all way to sit at the bar. In addition to the bare bones description, Ron, Amy, and Candy were amazing to work w/. To be able to do the job for that much less, Ron figured out ways I could do some of the work myself and make it happen. His advice for how to change my kitchen around were all spot on, from the suggested new sink stopper -- the fact that, w/ only a small bit of cupboard space for pots and pans near my stove (the others being stored in the island), I had to decide which pans were my "favorites." Following his advice, I was able to make it all work. What used to be a 4 foot square space between stove and the arch to the dining room area is now wide open. Before the change, family used to come in, skip through the kitchen to the family/TV room - or if anyone was to keep my company while I cooked, they'd need to sit on the counters - taking away necessary prep space. From the first day of completion, forward, my family of 13 have asked to have all celebrations at my home. The flow, the warmth, the whole ambiance of my home has hanged. Gleefully, if too much time passes, family sometimes forgets I've had it remodeled and are surprised anew when they walk in. What's most amazing is that talking to one another in that family room was often interrupted by TV shows, etc. Now, most people walk in and seat themselves at the island. Family is more engaged, dining is much easier -- I can set up a buffet line on one half of the island and still allow the five to eat from the other side. I would heartily recommend Kitchen Design Center to anyone w/ a dream of a kitchen that they think just can't be done. You may have to pitch in some elbow grease buy Ron, Amy, and Candy can help you with suggestions and their experience."
