"Dan and Steve worked at my house on many occasions and I would not hesitate to call them back if needed for future projects. They do everything except tiling.  They charge extra for supplies and parts, of course, but only at-cost and provide a receipt. Dan redid the backsplash at no extra cost when he felt the job didn't go quite right.

"Dave showed up on time, evaluated what we needed to install the swings on the porch and went to Home Depot and purchased the hardware. It took him a couple of hours to do the job and upon completion he showed the receipt for Home Depot and my wife was happy."

"We did a large renovation with Art Remodeling and Construction they were great. The project entailed removing two structural walls, major foundation work, new kitchen, new bathroom. Straightforward and always upfront with costs/timing, they held our hands throughout the process, which was important for a bunch of newbies. . Highly recommend Art Remodeling and Construction"

"Billie and his work partner John Parrish showed up Thursday. Fortunately they came right when the new W/D was delivered. The delivery person set up the W/D in the garage next to the area I wanted the closet built to verify the machines worked. Billie and John said they would reset the W/D when they had the closet ready. Billie gave me an estimate of $1700 and was ready to begin the work on the weekend (the next day!) promising to work on Sunday to finish the project before they started another major job on Monday. His work partner John Parrish would supervise the work. John showed up promptly on Friday with his assistant Dean. The plumber they contracted showed up also and told us that the drain pipe used for the old w/d was actually a sewer drain for an old toilet and the PVC vent pipe running along the floor and up the wall was for this old sewer pipe. The plumber recommended the old cast iron line be replaced with new PVC line and the old vent pipe closed off and a new one put in plus tap the new drain line for the utility sink. This new drain line would eliminate possible sewer smells and soap overflow caused by using he existing drain configurations. To do this required. "jackhammering 2' deep of concrete around the sewer pipe to reach enough pipe to cut it off. Dean, John's assistant spent most of Saturday removing this concrete. This extra work for concrete demolition and plumbing cost $300. Well worth doing it the right way as Billie and John recommended. They repaired the hole with fast drying concrete, built the closet with 2x4 studs and drywall (spackeling and sanding and corner round beads) with bi-fold doors. They also solved my problem of venting the dryer exhaust. I originally had the old vent going 6' to the outside wall. The new utility sink interfered with running the aluminum vent pipe to this outside vent. John suggested getting a different vent that eliminates the use of the outside vent. The new one runs a 3' to a container that sits on the corner of the sink. It contains an 1" of water to capture the lint. I just need to periodically empty the container. They did this work and still kept to schedule finishing the project on schedule by Sunday afternoon. I am VERY pleased with their work. They are honest, very professional, stressing quality while keeping to reasonable cost estimates. I am also impressed with the their subcontractors. The plumber, Joe, was reasonable priced, excellent and punctual. Their assistant Dean was outstanding doing all the concrete removal work promptly allowing John and Billie to keep to schedule. Overall they did a superb job. I intend to hire them again to remodel a bathroom. P.S. Billie also recommended an excellent electrician to use to install 3 ceiling fans and 6 outside lights around the house without using them as a "middle person"...saving me money."

FAQs for concrete foundation raise projects in Lake Worth, FL

On average, it takes two to seven days to physically raise your house. However, this does not include the preparation work, which is often the most lengthy process. The entire project, including preparation, obtaining permits, disconnecting utilities, and any subsequent landscaping, can take four to eight weeks. This timeline ensures everything is done safely and that your home remains structurally sound.

If proper safety protocols are not followed, raising a house can cause severe damage, as the process involves applying controlled force to the home's structure. The risks involved make it crucial to hire a skilled contractor who uses engineered methods to secure your home and prevent any harm to your household.

If your foundation shows signs of instability after raising your home, you might need to add structural support. A structural engineer can assess your foundation and recommend reinforcements to ensure your house stays stable and safe for the long term. Available support options include installing additional piers or pilings, reinforcing existing footings, or using steel beams to distribute the load more evenly.

You will need a structural engineer to assess your home before you begin. These professionals determine whether your house is suitable for lifting and identify any issues that could compromise its stability. Their expertise ensures that the project is designed correctly and all risks are managed to achieve a successful lift.
