"The pro videoed my pipes for relining purposes. He was very thorough and answered all my questions. Royal plumbing seems to have very professional people working for them. He was straight forward and told me exactly what needed to be down. He gave me a rough estimate of the cost, but told me he would have a written quote for me by the end of the day."

As a local member of the community, I have been in the construction industry for just over 10 years. With experience ranging from general construction needs, to light electrical, and plumbing I have the knowledge it takes to complete a job on time and with excellent quality. \n\nWhy pay more for a large contractor to provide you a simple service when you can save money and have some peace of mind knowing a local member of the community is taking care of your needs and providing exactly what you need.

"During late summer, trying to find a plumber to do what was needed was nearly impossible. Finally found Kraft Plumbing. Nick, the owner, did a quick turnaround to respond to the home to assess what was needed and give us a written estimate. Once we "hired" Nick to do the job, he was able to come to the home within 7-10 days to accomplish this. <br /> Nick did an outstanding job, and his work helped us to start scheduling other things that were needed for the house. Delivery of the propane tank and furnace installation, as an example. <br /> Because we don't have a kitchen in the home yet, Nick wasn't able to complete the rest of the gas line installation for that area of the home. (Hoping to have that done in the very near future!!) Nick only took payment for the work he has done up to this point, and we will be contacting him in the near future as the kitchen installation gets closer. <br /> I wouldn't hesitate to use Kraft Plumbing (Nick) for any of my future plumbing needs, and I would recommend him to anyone that is needing plumbing work in their homes. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Lead, SD

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
