"Found Shultz Brothers with favorable reviews on Angie's List and noted that Generator Hook-up was a specific service listed.  Called John and he answered quickly on my first attempt.  After explaining basically what I wanted to do, he offered input to what might be the best approach and stated that he happened to have a sub panel on order (which typically backorder for months) that would most likely do what I wanted.

A phone call or two later we agreed on the work and price and scheduled the job for less than a week from my first phone call.  He was very professional, communicated and explained everything clearly, comitted to doing the job promptly, and was very easy to get in touch with.

He arrived on time with all the proper parts and supplies and after a brief discussion on where to mount the panel and which circuits to tap, he proceeded with the work.  He let me know also what I could do to help the process, so I had already prepared for him a layout of our main panel and which circuits I wanted to be able to run off the Generator.

It couldn't have gone more smoothly.  Since the installation, I have fired up the Generator and run all the targeted circuits on Generator power with the Main feed to the house shut off, so I know the Generator will perform as needed in a power outage.  It handled all the circuits with ease and continued to do so for more than an hour - the duration of my test. The total cost of the job even came in at slightly under the original estimate... and unexpected bonus!

Thanks to John for a job well done and for helping my with peace of mind in the face of the next power outage!

"Thank you One Call Electrical Heating & Cooling Service, Inc, and Maureen, in particular for assigning Eduardo to complete
home improvement project on July 17th, 2015 in Plainfield, NJ.  He arrived promptly.  He exhibited both tremendous technical skill and exceptional enthusiasm for completing the necessary electrical wiring in order to safely install my kitchen appliance.  Both he and his partner were methodical, courteous and neat through out the entire process.  I would highly recommend him to any homeowner who is looking for a competent electrician.  Thank your Company very much!!

"Dave Polo has a great online scheduling system, that makes it very easy for see his availabilty and his prices. The price above included a septic tank inspection by BeachStone Septic Corporation that Dave engaged and who were also very professional, very through and a great source of information. Dave was very thorough, we began on the roof and then worked ourselves around the outside of the house. We took notes as he mentioned things and he used his handy recorder to help him with his notes to put into the report. Our house has 3000 sq. ft and I feel confident that he covered much of that area. He was very thorough - looking high and looking low, pointing out the good, the bad and the things for us to improve the condition of the house. His report was about 8-9 pages and very detailed. It was a great source to go back to the sellers and asked for the significant things to be addressed or help us with some $$$."

"I was searching Home Warranty providers after a bad experience with my 7 year, soon to be terminated "former" Fidelity Home Warranty service provider. Warranty service providers are essential, for they step in and "act" when life deals you an "Oh Crap" situation like your refrigerator suddenly quits. Every high dollar appliance in a home has a life span that will end whether your prepared for it or not. It's a common occurance that leads to unexpected higher debt concerns while you frantically attempt to save your food from going bad. Got a minimum of $1,700 to get a new one? A truck or a really good friend to borrow theirs to pick it up? Plus time to allow it to achieve proper temperature to transfer your temp sensitive food! Well if you haven't experienced this type of event, in your life, you will! I began by doing some easy research online like searching for best Home Warranty providers. I put some inquiries out to prospective providers and as expected, the sales calls began to ring on my phone. They all have why "they" are the best provider - so take notes and compare policies. Ask whether they cover swimming pools, septic systems, roof repairs etc. So my phone rings with an out-of-state area code and it's Zach from Choice Home Warranty. While on the call, this enthusiastic salesman hit all the "trigger" items I was looking for; *Annual Service Price *Price per claim deductable *Response time You know, all the "need to know" info that helps you make an informative decision. I started paying $550/year 7 years ago in 2014 with my old service provider. The per claim fee was $65. Today in 2022, it's $710/year and $85/claim. Was it worth it you ask? If I figure the math, my total cost over 7 years and only 4 claims was $4,450 or $636/year. This cost paid to replace my pools salt cell and chlorine generator ($1,800 in parts alone), 2 separate Air Conditioner repairs which replaced the coil fan motor, a circuit board replacement, system coil cleansing, relays and a capacitor. (No idea of how much my total cost would have been. I paid $65 twice. Nice huh?) 1 roof repair that replaced the "Cricket", which is a 15' roof section elevational change just below the ridge line. It's important to remember that these repairs don't include "hidden costs" which are personnel and service labor rates. Something you will pay for without a Warranty Service. Here's the best part of the call from this AWESOME salesman. He offered me 6 year "fully transferable", rate locked for life" service policy that when divided out by 6 is LESS THAN WHAT I WAS PAYING ANNUALLY, 7 YEARS AGO!!! So, is a Home Warranty plan a safe bet??? I have a 9 word answer for those without a Choice Home Warranty service plan. YOU BET YOUR DRIPPING SWEATY BUTT CRACK IT IS!!! Props to Zach, YOU DA MAN!!! "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."

"In October 2013, Robert sent me an email stating my service had been scheduled for 11/06/13 and he wanted me to confirm the date. I was a bit unsettled at the thought that if I had not read this email when I did and responded immediately, someone would have shown up at my house unannounced to perform a job I had not discussed with them. I called immediately and explained I was not ready and had stated that when I purchased the deal. Robert said he understood and would wait to hear from me. In February, I contacted Robert to explain that due to the extreme winter we had, my plans for the work had been postponed and that I would be in touch. Robert assured me my deal would not expire and to call him when I was ready. In recent months, I revisited the reviews for Rovase and became unsettled again at the poor service and communication reviews this company had received from other customers after I purchased the deal. I especially did not like the tone of provider in his responses to the complaints made by some unsatisfied customers. It reignited the doubts and uncomfortable feeling I had after receiving the first email in October, and I decided I did not feel comfortable working with them after all."

"I hired Randy for my Fix and Flip property, had him change out all the door handles and locks throughout the house and some other small fixes as well, I also had him and his crew come in to clean the house to prep it for the open house. Randy and his crew were very professional, did a great job in what was asked of and his prices were great as well! I would highly recommend Randy if you need your house cleaned or small fixes around the house.. he's definitely the guy to call. Thanks for your hard work. Will definitely hire again on the next property."

FAQs for swimming pool or accessories repair or service projects in Lebanon, NJ

A well-maintained, correctly sized pump lasts eight to 12 years. Help it reach the upper end of that range by cleaning the strainer basket, monitoring for unusual sounds, and verifying that the pump’s flow rate matches the filter's specifications. Address leaks or pressure dips quickly—minor fixes now cost far less than a premature replacement later.

Listen for grinding or screeching, watch for breaker trips, and keep an eye on sudden spikes in your electric bill—any one of these signals the pump needs attention. If repairs continue to accumulate or the unit is older than eight years, replacement often makes more financial sense. Contact a qualified pool repair professional immediately to diagnose the issue and prevent further damage to the filter or plumbing.

It’s best to keep your pool pump on while swimming. Keeping the pump on while you swim allows the filter and skimmers to catch debris in real-time, maintaining water features flowing. It’s not mandatory, but weaving swim time into your regular eight-to-12-hour schedule helps maintain crystal-clear water and consistent chemical levels without extra effort.

Start by shutting off the power at the breaker and verifying with a voltage meter. Close the water valves, bleed pressure, and unbolt the old pump. Wire the new unit according to the manufacturer's diagram, glue in the PVC unions, prime the housing, and tighten everything securely. Open the valves, flip the breaker, and watch for steady water flow and quiet operation. If any step feels beyond your expertise, consider hiring a licensed electrician or pool technician.
