"I needed assistance with my basement being flooded. Given the urgency of the situation, this company coerced me into signing a "blanket contract" with no estimate and promptly started conducting work in my basement, including ripping out carpeting and wall paneling. They did not provide any status on how/when the work would be complete and what the associated expense would be. They certainly have taken advantage of the elderly in this case as I am 83 and have now sent me an invoice for $15,999.03 for "water mitigation services". They were also not responsive to my inquiries and wouldn't tell me (or my family) when they would arrive, what subsequent work they would conduct, what the timeframes were etc. It seems they have had numerous complaints of similar practices in their Yelp! reviews. You will also note that this company writes back stating to the other rated 1 reviews signed a "certificate of completion" but when they said this to me I refused as their work was not completed."

Brian Vent of Anthony Restoration will send you a $22.5k bill for 24 hours of water remediation services and tell you to sign with their tree company which will send you another $22.5k bill for a $3-$5k emergency tree removal job. And their contract says you're liable for anything insurance won't pay despite promising you that everything will be paid by insurance, and not giving any estimates upfront! They immediately sent a demand letter from a lawyer for payment when I asked for a reasonable reduction based on falsehoods in their invoice! I will be filing a complaint with the consumer protection board. These guys are scam artists out to steal your money!"

"We were VERY disappointed with this company on multiple levels. When I balked at the estimate for the hardwood floor work, their phone rep claimed the job included a 3-year warranty on the sealer. It did not. After setting up their equipment, they explained that cleaning the carpeted stairs would cost nearly as much as the 3 rooms they cleaned. Their truck ran the whole 2+ hours they were there, forcing me to stop painting the garage as I was choking on fumes. The next day I found small stains on the stairs which I cleaned. When I inspected the hardwood floors, the finish was very uneven – glossy in some areas and dull in others -- which means they applied only a single coat of sealer and that the work was done poorly. When I asked for the warranty paperwork, the response was “what warranty?” This property is a rental unit and the new tenants moved in two days after this Zerorez work was completed. Zerorez management offered to inspect the work and add more sealer to the hardwood, but now there was furniture and boxes in the rooms. They refunded part of the overpriced hardwood job and had no explanation for the lie about the sealer warranty. I don’t expect vendors to be perfect, but this was one too many problems for two simple tasks. While we appreciate the partial refund, I will never use this company again and cannot recommend them to anyone."
