He explained the type of mold and then told me that it was a small enough area that I could do it myself. He provided me with detailed instructions about how to proceed safely. He also offered helpful advice about dehumidifying my basement and other little things he noticed, like lint behind the dryer that could be a fire risk. Most unbelievably of all, he didn't charge me for the visit! How often does a contractor come to your house, put your mind at ease, teach you things, charge you nothing, and save you almost $1000?!
