"Can't say enough good things about our experience with AAA-1 Masonry & Tuckpointing. We had two holding walls with brick that was deteriorating. They power washed to identify which bricks needed to be removed and swapped out those bricks with new ones. In addition they replaced the capstones on the two walls with larger capstones to provide the walls more protection from the elements. Everything was sealed and completed flawlessly. The crew was experienced and professional. Since the work was done this summer, our walls don't even get wet from rain! We are so grateful for the expert repair but also the guidance that replacing the capstones would provide more of a long term solution. Highly recommend these guys for your masonry needs."

"Outstanding experience with CAS Construction! Carlos and his crew did an awesome job renovating the back entrance of my home! Rotted brick pillar at head of the back entrance stairs was removed and a new perfect brick pillar was built and installed. They repaired all the imperfections in the surrounding concrete, sanded, power washed, and carefully applied the paint finish. The tuckpointing, caulking perimeter of the entire house, and the similar work in the other areas that needed repair and improvement, all done with minimal mess and no stress! "We were looking to have some work done and John's Masonry filled our needs and then some. They were reasonably priced and were dedicated to getting the job done in a timely manner. We had the following repairs done: Sealing and caulking of the foundation Tuckpointing Repaired/replaced lintels Caulked windows Installed rubberized masonry flashing to prevent water penetration Power washed and sealed the front porch and deck Replaced bricks where needed Treated the efflorescence on the basement walls, scraped, and applied masonry stucco throughout the basement where needed. Painted the basement with loxon masonry paint Dug up a slab of cement to install a drain to fix a pooling of water problem and replaced the entire slab. This team was polite and professional. They cleaned up after themselves. John was always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. I will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them. They also do roofing."

"Tom and his team did an amazing job repairing and repainting the exterior of our home. The 1880s Victorian style has cedar siding, consisting of a combination of traditional boards and cedar tiles. It had been touched up and well maintained over the years, but no extensive repair or painting had been done. Many of the details, such as the trim around the windows and decorative teeth under the third floor's window trim, had chipped or fallen off. On the wall most exposed to the wind and sun, some siding required repair, a few pieces had to be replaced. Tom's team, led by Sergio, repaired/replaced boards/tiles as necessary, then sanded, primed and repainted all the siding. Their attention to detail was beyond impressive, with the window trim lined perfectly and the decorative accessories, such as the teeth, repaired to its original condition. We were most impressed with how much care the team took at sanding the cedar down to the wood before priming and repainting. The end result is siding that looks brand new. Another plus is they are reasonably priced. We received six quotes and they were in the middle of the pack. I highly recommend Fortune Restoration and Tom and his team. Suggested replacement caps as they were beginning to rust but said not required and that they were still doing their job. Had to wait over a month during busy season for appt. On time. Appeared honest, knowledgeable. Invoiced $189 but when showed them Angie’s List email with discount, adjusted invoice to $149."

Cost increases: I mentioned roots upfront - he said equipment could handle it, then charged $450. Said grading unnecessary, then created false urgency claiming we HAD to grade before concrete. Later said could grade after. Added $1,800. Crew broke drainage pipes, charged me $250. Couldn't move AC condenser despite my asking during estimate. Payment tactics: Said pay "when satisfied." Then requested half early, then full payment before done. When I said work incomplete, he asked "Don't you trust me?" then broke promises. Broken promises: Walkway cured wrong, no follow-up. $1,800 grading included 3-month landscaping - no communication. Promised debris cleanup, later said not responsible. Damaged 4-month fence, couldn't repair properly, paid $300 after pressure. Dismisses costs at estimate, adds them later. Makes promises, then excuses."
