They diagnosed the problem by spending like 4 hours at my place and when we could not figure out the exact cause, they did help narrow it down to being either a broken intake pipe or high water table. They also put a temporary reroute for ground water to rule out any issues with the sewer line which is the case sometimes. They replaced one of my broken sump pump too for a reasonable price."

"My old hot water heater died, and a friend installed a new small 40 gal tank. But I never had hot water after that. I also had a leaking lead pipe. Patrick came and had to be a sleuth to try to determine the cause of the missing hot water. The tank was too small and not functioning, but the real problem was a crossed pipe somewhere in my 1890 house. He found the pipe location in the basement and put in a shut off valve, which gave most of the house hot water. He also put in a high quality 50 gallon tank, and repaired the leaking lead main. To completely fix the hot water, it will mean opening walls, so we left a small 1/2 bath sink and attic sink to be fixed at a later time (or not....).. This was all around Easter, but he put in long days to get it all done."

"EXCELLENT! The pipe clogged on a SUNDAY AFTERNOON, of course. Water was leaking into our basement! I started looking for someone with 24 hour service, and no one could come out. Then I got a call from IL Sewer and Drain. Joe said he could be out in about an hour, it was already after 4:30 pm. He came out, and was able to unclog our pipe! But upon inspection, the pipe needed to be replaced. He was able to schedule it for the next morning! The work took a few hours, but was all finished and cleaned up! I would not hesitate to hire them again or give them an outstanding reference."

Because they weren't able to give me the specs of the water heater they would provide, just a flat rate on the heater and install it was difficult for me to compare with other quotes provided. I ultimately decided not to go with them because I got a bad feeling when they mentioned having worked in my city before but didn't seem interested in complying with city regulations requiring permits. Do I like needing permits for everything? No. But I'd rather do it how they require than face penalties later. When I expressed my reservations based on previous issues with the city, they agreed to the permit as long as I completed the process."
