"Jesse replaced my main water shutoff valve with a ball valve and re-did PVC piping out of my main sprinkler back-flow that was leaking due to ground movement. He completed both within an hour and was considerably more affordable than two other contractors. I would definitely hire him again."

"Walter ran a new gas line for me at about half the price of other estimates. He didn't cut corners, nor did he talk poorly of other people in the field. He reasoned where/how other people might be twice as much. Then he explained exactly what he was going to do, how much the gas line cost on a per foot basis, his plan for installation and then his time frames for getting the work done. I couldn't have been happier with the quality of work or the customer service. 5/5 would/do recommend."

"Better Plumbing did an awesome job. I am replacing a tub to a walk in shower and after removing the tub I was surprised with a drain pipe from the kitchen that ran behind the tub. I couldn't install my walk in shower base. I didn't know of any plumbers so I used HomeAdvisor and the next day I had the job done and my shower base is installed. Plus they did it on Labor Day. Wonderful guys and very reasonable. I will have them back out to do more work. Thank you."

"Excellent...we had some additional issues related to water pressure regulator, piping, etc. The situation happened on the weekend and we had hot water running by Monday afternoon. An EXTREMELY short time compared to our last water heater issue. Highly recommend Heart and will use them from now on."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Littleton, CO

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
