"Ben was fantastic. It's so hard to find someone this knowledgeable and willing to get right to the problem and fix it. We have a very old home that has a complex setup and that didn't worry Ben at all. He was able to rapidly diagnose issues, even beyond our original service call. His years of experience were obvious and we will certainly be using his services again!"

"Very satisfying, Brad who is a comfort advisor came out after I had my furnace cleaned last week or so, issues noted with furnace come to find out cheaper to get new one instead of replacing parts especially since my furnace is 12 years old. He was up front talked on my level and showed me things as well as did the technician Korye did last week I am very happy with my service and have been using One Hour for years now."

"Absolute 1st Choice will absolutely be our 1st choice. He deserves more than 5 Stars. He found problems that were more serious than the one we hired him to fix. He explained what needed to be done and offered to do it. He made no attempt to "upsell' us on anything. He stayed until the project was completed to our satisfaction. He was well organized, professional and trustworthy. Trustworthiness is the most important thing, without that I might as well have tried to fix it myself. I know that wouldn't have ended well. If you hire a company with a fleet of fancy trucks and prime time TV ads, you can be fairly sure that the service tech will , at some point, magically transform into a a salesman. Thank you, Home Advisor!!!"

"Due 2 Virus, they had 2 reschedule with different crew from Wednesday to Saturday. Unfortunately, the installation crew hooked up safety device 2 Furnace, not new outside AC Condenser. Great AC 4 7 days, then no AC during July 4th weekend 90’s outside & 80’s inside. Due to National Holiday, Tipping Hat did not get back 2 us until Monday, but response from Offices were great & Technician fixed AC in 15 minutes Tuesday afternoon. Unless something else occurs, We would use them again."

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Longmont, CO

Coils work to absorb heat into the refrigerant that flows through them, moving heat from one location to another. For air conditioning, the evaporator coil inside the air handler in your home absorbs heat. It then transfers the heat outside to the condenser coil, where it releases it. The opposite process happens for heat pumps. When the coils get dusty and dirty, it reduces how well these components work.

Skip regular cleanings, and dirt, debris, and mineral deposits will blanket your evaporator and condenser coils. When that happens, the coils can’t shed heat efficiently, so the system works harder and your energy bill climbs. Over time, overheating strains the compressor and can trigger a full breakdown—an avoidable repair that often costs far more than a simple annual cleaning.

AC coil cleaning is an investment that pays for itself in the benefits it provides. Dust‑caked coils force your AC to run longer, so you spend more on electricity and rack up extra wear. A quick professional cleaning restores efficiency, trims monthly bills, and eases strain on expensive parts. Over the long haul, that small yearly fee delays pricy repairs and stretches the unit’s lifespan, making coil cleaning one of the smartest HVAC tune‑ups you can schedule.

Watch for higher electric bills, rooms that stay warm no matter how low you set the thermostat, or an AC system that runs nonstop. Extra humidity and frost on the coils are also red flags. Catching these clues early lets you schedule a quick cleaning before the system overworks itself and triggers an expensive breakdown.

Your AC cleaning technician starts by shutting off the power to the unit and removing the faceplate. Compressed air and a vacuum hose blast away loose debris, followed by a coil-safe, no-rinse cleaner that dissolves stubborn grime. After the solution has soaked in, the professional wipes the fins, reassembles the housing, and restores power, leaving the system ready to cool at peak efficiency.
