After fighting this for nearly twenty years we finally decided to bite the bullet and get a professional company to design a drainage solution that would permanently dry up our yard. We invited two highly respected companies to design solutions to fix our yard. Both companies were major operators in our area and had stellar reviews. We left the designs up to each company and ultimately chose Premium Drainage & Erosion Solutions LLC. Adrian met with us and spent the time to really understand our requirements, not only to solve the drainage but also create an attractive element in our landscaping. Their crew was very professional and respectful of our property and clearly took pride in their work. The final design was a fairly complicated combination of open and covered French drains all leading to an existing underground stormwater management system. The crew, led by Renee’, took great care in executing the design as well as modifying it as necessary to integrate into our existing underground infrastructure, i.e., sprinkler system, gas line and downspout/sump pump drains. These guys knew what they were doing and made sure we were informed of any issue that they encountered and their proposed solution. Our yard was in great hands. They even took the time to hand lay each river stone that covered the open French drains resulting in a very attractive addition to the landscape. Once everything was fully installed, the crew went the extra mile to clean up any mud or dirt left in the grass and left our landscaping in better shape than they found it. We are extremely happy with the job that Premium Drainage & Erosion Solutions did for us. They went the extra mile to make sure we were more than satisfied with their work. "They were remarkable. First, they excavated the minimum needed to repair our drain and install the CIPP liner. They saved our front cement and brick staircase (directly over the main house sewer line). They only removed one section of the sidewalk that was over the main house sewer line. When done, they filled and compacted the dirt, covered the lawn with straw (i.e., ready for me to add seed and to avoid erosion) and replaced the damaged sidewalk section. The workers were polite and respectful of both us and our property. There was truly minimal disruption to the household. We could not flush toilets or run water down the drains for about 3 hours each day they worked on the line. We contracted for repair of the pipe that was on our property. They completed this work in two days. We then added re-lining the pipe under the road to the county connection. The team added people for and worked late on the second day. Job done on day 3. The job took 3 days (as promised)."

"I called Waterproofing Inc on a Wednesday and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate for Saturday. Steve promptly came at the scheduled time and we reviewed the situation in my basement.   I told him of my goal to have a finished DRY basement.  He looked at my existing pump and drain. He suggested that I could apply (or have applied) plastic sheeting to the walls to help with the seepage problem. However, he doesn't do that type of work. He also asked me what I thought the problem was with the moisture problem. He suggested that he could extend the current waterproofing system along the entire back wall and gave me a written estimate for that work. The reason that I rated him a B and said I would hire him was because I didn't feel confident in his diagnosis of the root cause of the water problem and his proposed solution to address the issue so that my basement could be dry. I am looking for a one stop shop with a solution driven individual who comes in as a problem solver. I just didn't get that from Steve. He didn't even look (or ask to look) outside the house to see how the water comes off the back of the house where the problem is.  I'm guess if I just wanted someone to drill up the concrete and put a drain in, he would be fine because his price was reasonable for that work. But I'm looking for a holistic solution provider who will address all issues with the most effective and efficient techniques to keep my basement dry.  I just wouldn't hire him for that role."

"Up until contract signing this company was amazing. They sent out estimators on several different occasions when I changed the parameters of the project, they would answer calls immediately, or respond to emails promptly, but that all changed once I had signed on with them for the project.
Starting the second day of the project (which was estimated at two weeks to finish) there were problems, mainly that no one showed up. Thinking that Maxsell knew what they were doing I did not inquire why they had not shown up, or communicated any reason why they were not there. The third day was the same story, no workmen showed up and I received no call/email/text about why. On the fourth morning I tried calling, emailing and texting, but got no answer until the end of the day letting me know that the mason had called in sick (no masonry work was actually performed until several weeks later).
Around the fourth week I was contacted and informed that they had chosen a different product and that they were loading it on the truck at the moment, but they had never discussed using a different product, and after I looked it up I found out that the new product did not include any of the warranties that the original had. Needless to say I was upset, but with a written guarantee from the company I felt I could let this slide.
Over the course of the six week project (I was told that it would be two weeks at the most) I spoke with the contractors less than a handful of times, mostly because they would not answer calls, the voice mail boxes were full and messages could not be left, and when contacting their office they would only reply through text or email.
So if you can wait 4-5x the estimate they give you, and you don't mind never being able to contact them, these are the contractors for you.
