"Overall, I had an outstanding experience with everyone from John Krause Construction. Their customer service was most impressive. They asked about and worked around my schedule, were all prompt, courteous and friendly, and showed a true desire to complete the work to my satisfaction. Their explanations of the work to be done and the time it would take were clear and accurate. They started the work in less than a week after I signed the contract, and completed it in a week. This was well beyond my expectations since a lot needed to be done, including drywall repair and painting some hard to reach areas, shingle repair, gutter cleaning, and concrete step repair. Their cost estimate was competitive and fair. There were a couple hiccups along the way, including matching the interior paint color and trouble with installing a door handle, but everything worked out ok. I would certainly hire them again for any general home repairs/improvements."

"Fantastic! Devin and his team remodeled three of the four bedrooms in my townhouse in Clarendon: the first about four years ago and the other two bathrooms two years ago. He also built me a new closet in the master bedroom. The entire experience was amazing. The work is top quality - years later it still looks perfect and I have not had any problems - and his team is polite, professional, timely and they left my home spotless when they left. And since the work has been completed, Devin has helped me with little issues for free whenever I needed help. He is truly a talented professional and a stellar person. "While I love my kitchen and sunroom, I attribute a great deal of that to the constant presence and follow-up by my spouse - doing a lot of what I would expect a general contractor to do. MW is a lot better than other contractors I have had, but fell below expectations (based on reviews I read at the time of signing my contract). A lot of issues resulted from a lack of communication or miscommunication between MW and their subcontractors. We signed a contract in May 2013, expecting work to begin relatively soon. Work did not begin until after labor day. I have an extra row of lights in the kitchen due to a lack of passing design details onto the electrician, and the electrician did not put the appropriate ampage in the light switch - my spouse found this and it had to be corrected - potential hazard with an overheaded light switch! The join between the house and the addition was not done correctly. We had to have that completely redone by another roofing company. It makes me mad when contractor's work will not hold up for the long term - this had already been addressed once by MW. The AC unit in the addition was not installed correctly, resulting in a leak and subsequent repair in my brand new wall. My husband came up for many of the solutions regarding the tile installation in tricky areas. The kick in the pants was when we got a notice of a mechanics lien on our house due to lack of payment to a subcontractor (apparently the sub did not file some paperwork with the county). I know that is how things work, but I don't expect that from a contractor I selected because of a huge number of positive reviews on a site like Angie's List. I think that all reviewers should wait 6 months or a year to see how things stand the test of time before writing a glowing review."

"The service provider was prompt,courteous and personable. Thoroughly explained what would be done to correct the leaky faucet. Was neat and clean in the work area and took care to ensure there were no gaps between the newly installed faucet and siding by applying additional chaulking. Entered the residence once to assess the scope of the repair and wore booties, without being prompted to do so, in order to protect my floors. I would use this company in the future and had such a positive experience with the assigned service technician, I would request him by name (Trai).

"The drywall work patching was done for the dining wall ceiling which was damaged by leaky pipe of the 2nd floor bathroom. The handyman showed up on time and patched the ceiling to satisfaction. The bill amount was exactly as quoted. I used the service again for a new sump pump installation. I found communication with Tracy was easy and dependable. She was on top of everything. I discussed the ways the job could be done and the schedule that worked for me. She helped me find the best method for my need and sent out the crew at the agreed time. My questions were answered promptly. She has good understanding of her crew’s capabilities and asked for their performances afterwards for future reference. The work was completed with my active involvement. The crew and I discussed the major steps. They were flexible and understanding."

"Our kitchen renovation with CRG Remodeling was a joyful and delightful experience. Honestly. Cornelio's professionalism, knowledge, accuracy and insight are highlighted by his warm, caring personality and desire to please. When have you ever heard that about a contractor? We have lived in this house for almost 40 years so this kitchen renovation has been long desired. We had a basic layout plan, but Cornelio patiently advised us when we made the inevitable tweaks (some of which were considerable). Cornelio's suggestion for cabinetry, (which was, of course, a big ticket item), was perfect for our 1950s knotty pine kitchen/living area. Rather than installing tile, he suggested we extend our barn board wooden floor into the new area to keep it uniform. We were worried it wouldn't look right with a different wooden pattern but agreed to put an edge separator if needed. The floor installation team came and perfectly matched the 60 year old floor! Cornelio improved our vision with his suggestions and gave us a kitchen we never dreamed could look so good. His crew worked 6 days a week; they were consistent, prompt and thorough. They never complained or refused a request, even when I had a change of heart over a plumbing arrangement that had already been completed. Our house is small. When the crew was here, we had to work around each other at times. The men were all so respectful, polite and caring. They were diligent about trying to keep down the level of dust and cleaned up thoroughly at the end of every day. His guys didn't blink at the prospect of replacing numerous exterior support logs (we live in a log house), that had dry rotted. They had to refashion pine logs my husband had harvested from a farm years ago for this purpose. When Cornelio saw the logs, he said: "No problem. We will make them work." Cornelio said this many times throughout the process, with each new request I made. And things always "worked out." After the crew repaired the extensive dry rot damage to the exterior of our house, I came home and found they had stained/painted, not just the area that was repaired, but the entire back of the house! When I asked Cornelio how much more it would cost, he said, "No extra cost. It had to be done to look right." This was their habit in all that they did. They did it, "right." Cornelio's work ethic influences each member of his crew. These men are efficient, trustworthy and professional. We had a lapse in time for the installation of our soapstone counters, which we had previously contracted separately. Cornelio's guys perfectly prepared the cabinets for the counter installation crew and it all went seamlessly. They returned to finish the job and completed every one of our detailed requests in two days! I highly recommend CRG Remodeling for any of your renovation needs. We've already asked Cornelio for an estimate to redo our basement. We know we have found our contractor for life!"
