"They arrived promptly when expected and executed the work to my complete satisfaction. The injection holes for the lifting foam don't stand out too badly and they only had to drill a few of them. The sidewalk was lifted to its proper height. After the lift, the sealing was applied and coated with quartz sand, more attractive than the original black material."

"Hiring Chris to do the job was the right choice; it was a positive experience from start to finish. The work was complicated by its position over the creek and the age of the stone. Chris knew exactly how to tackle the job. He painstakingly restored the damaged bridge to its original condition, then went a step further by directing the water runoff. He is completely professional in his timely responses, cost quote and in keeping to his timeframe, even with inclement weather. I highly recommend Chris Basile and wish I could find a craftsman of his caliber for every project!"

"Denis Dougherty of Philadelphia Brick & Stone Pointing worked over the weekend to fix the chimney that was causing leaks on rainy days and he fixed some sagging bricks. I was away when he worked on them but everything was fixed when I came back. It's been a few months now and still no leaks even with heavy rain."

"The front sidewalk that G&B Construction replaced for us is absolutely amazing and has held up well in both the hot and cold weather! George and his crew were very skillful at creating a slight curve in the sidewalk (before the turn was at a 90 degree angle) and a flare at the driveway that really makes the front sidewalk look so much more inviting and welcoming. They also banked the sidewalk for better drainage and raised it up so that there was a much smaller step up onto the front porch. The crew that came out to the house was very nice and professional! They worked really hard to keep the driveway clean while bringing loads of wet concrete to the sidewalk location. Rachel, the office manager, was also really helpful in getting this project organized. I am very happy that we hired G&B Construction and have shared our experience with our neighbors. If I need any more concrete work done, I will definitely call them again!"

"Perfectly. Carl met with me for a challenging problem/project I had previously hired (years ago) another contractor to solve/install. It involved installing a natural stone “stairway,“ with landings, on two small hills. The previous contractor did not succeed. Carl assessed and knew instantly what needed to be done, gave me a reasonable price, communicated effectively, always showed up on time with his crew and, at the risk of sounding hyperbolic, did a perfect job. Every member of his crew was customer and project focused. I already plan to welcome them back for another project elsewhere on my property."

"I was very impressed by every aspect of dealing with Funari Public Adjusters. From the first phone call to receiving the last check everything ran super fast and so smooth. I was a nervous wreck about having to file a claim but Chris Funari made me feel less stressed and I was very impressed on how fast it went. They are very professional and courteous and i would never use anyone else."

"Tom and his crew did a great job in a short amount of time re-grading part of our back patio area and repairing our street-facing basement wall. I really appreciated his experience/opinion on how best to go about covering the flaking parged wall in the unfinished basement of our 1920s S. Philly rowhome. The completed work in both areas looks terrific. Fast communication via text. Would hire again."

"We are absolutely thrilled by the work that was done by JMJ Landscaping.  They were able to reproduce exactly what we had requested.  We wanted a flagstone patio installed with an organic layout design that complemented the curved lines of our garden.  Since our yard has a downward slope, we asked for a low and sloping stone wall to be built on one edge of the patio and to actually level out a section of the yard so that it could abut the wall and in essence create level ground in the yard.  They finished off by seeding the newly leveled portion of yard and covering it with hay.  They completed the job in a very timely fashion at the price we were quoted.  My husband was very impressed that they obtained Wissahickon schist for the wall to mirror the stone that our house is made of.  The guys were extremely professional and really took pride in their work.  The new patio is absolutely beautiful and looks as if it was part of the original design of the house.  Although it was a little expensive the quality of the workmanship and supplies was well worth it and I have no doubt that this has increased the value of our property.  I would highly recommend JMJ Landscaping. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Lower-merion, PA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
